I've had a feeling, and with little evidence to back it up outside of my own wishful thinking, that Obama may pick Colin Powell as his running-mate. General Powell would add a gravitas lacking in the Obama camp. Despite the debacle during his tenure as Secretary of State, Powell is one of the few statesmen in modern American politics, and his national security credentials are undeniable. Many on the right and left would vote for a Obama/Powell ticket on the strength of Powell alone.

I think I would vote for an Obama presidency, but I would vote for a Powell vice-presidency.
