One of the three men also faced a charge of tampering/fabricating physical evidence.[117] The three self-described radical Christian activists, part of a religious group that opposes organized religion and government, have pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm categorized as a destructive device in the attempted bombings at the Burleson, TX church. Police found the bomb, a glass bottle containing a mixture of gasoline and chlorine with a cloth wick, propped against the church door after the men twice attempted to detonate the device. Michael Philip Plaisted and Jered Michael Ragon pleaded guilty December 4, 2007 and Dayton Lee Calaway pleaded guilty February 5, 2008. Now back to the topic at hand which relates to the alleged satanic ritual crimes in the OP, the name of Gilles de Rais remains the historical touchstone for the satanic criminal and child abuser. Many books have been written regarding his trial, and certainly Aleister Crowley tried to exculpate him centuries later:

One of the most notorious satanic murders in UK history involved Henry Bibby who took the name "Edward Crowley" in honour of his obsession with Aleister Crowley and Crowleyian black magick:

Those of us living in the UK or in countries that relied on BBC World Service for news and information will recall the horrifying occult murder of 90 year old Mabel Leyshon:

Hardman - who had lived just a few yards away and had been Mrs Leyshon's paper boy - mutilated her body before placing pokers at her feet in the shape of a cross.

Her heart had been removed, wrapped in newspaper and placed in a saucepan on a silver platter next to her body.

The prosecution said her killer drank her blood in a "macabre ritual".

After the verdict was delivered, the judge lifted a ban on naming Hardman which had been in place throughout the trial.

The prosecution said the teenager - who denied the charge - was obsessed with vampires and the occult, and had told others he wanted to kill someone in order to become immortal.

While there are a number of notorious German cases of satanist and occult crimes, arguably the greatest being the Holocaust, in more recent years it was the case of the German satanists and self-styled 'vampires'. The following is an excerpt from a BBC News story on these events:

A German couple who say they killed their friend on the orders of the devil are due to be sentenced on Thursday, concluding a case which has rocked the country.

Daniel Ruda, 26, and his wife Manuela, 23, admit killing Frank Haagen, but say they were not responsible for his death. His body was found decomposing in the couple's flat in Bochum, in the west of the country, last July. He had been battered to death with a hammer and was covered in dozens of stab wounds.

A scalpel protruded from his stomach and a pentagram, the sign of the devil, was carved into his chest.

Whilst not readily available in English there are numerous articles on cult/occult and satanic crimes in South America. One of the most upsetting in Argentina was the case of two girls who killed their father:

BUENOS AIRES (CWNews.com) - The brutal murder of a 50-year-old father at the hand of his two young daughters as part of a satanic rite has shocked Argentine society and raised concern about the proliferation of satanic and other cults in Buenos Aires.

The mutilated body of Juan Carlos Vazquez was found on Monday surrounded by his two daughters, Silvina, 21 and Gabriela 29, who stabbed their father 100 times and ate part of his face.

Yesterday, the police revealed the first details of the strange crime, announcing that the three of them belonged to a cult known as the "Alchemy Center for Transmutation." According to the police, apparently the father and daughters engaged in a ritual that ended with the murder of Juan Carlos Vazquez. Juan Carlos' body was found not only with 100 knife wounds, but also marked with cuts forming a strange figure.

The killing took place in the living room, after the furniture was moved to one side. In the place were found cups with strange liquids and a book of "alchemy rites." When the police entered the home, the two daughters were screaming in a state of shock, one invoking Satan, the other one saying that Satan had finally left her father's body.

I've only read a few posts in this thread... but this stuff happens all the time.

They use the forest preserves at night when they are closed, and they perform animal and human sacrfices. Grown men. The authorities seem to know about it, and protect it.

My close friend was there at night, and stumbled upon one of these rituals, and there were a bunch of older men standing around a rock slab, sacrificing I think it was a puppy dog... but my friend saw it and his natural reaction was to shout "Holy #!", and then one of the men in black robes came after him with a knife, but he always carries one of those six inch copper pipes with him...so he clubbed the guy in the hood and the guy fell right down. The guy was going to kill him for witnessing the ritual.

This stuff is no joke. Don't mess with Black Rituals. Reality is a delicate thing.

Not all of these "Devil wosrshippers" are wacko teenage kids living in their parents basements and listening to heavy metal. Some of these groups are very old. The Yezidis going back at least 1000 years and the Luciferians at least 300 to 400 years. Both are more than semi organized. There are also more recent Luciferian New Age concepts that are more organized. I think thats what these people were.

Thats why I say you can't use Satanism as blanket term. Now your saying that Anton's Church is the only recognized church. What about the the First Church of Satan and the Temple of Set? Both are splinters from the original Church of Satan. Col. Aquino, who I have corresponded with, left over the recognition of a dark force. If I understand correctly Lavey was a pure Atheist and would not recognize any kind of Dark Power. So Aquino left and formed his own sect. He has some way out there ideas, is pretty anti semitic, and borderline fascist. He basically told me Jews wern't welcomed by his Temple. Thats really odd when you think about Anton LaVey was originally Anthony Levy. Anyway as far as I know the splinter groups are also legitimate.

Basically what I'm saying is Anton's Church has no more right over the term Satanism than the Catholic Church does over the term Christianity.

Well, despite how wrong everyone seems to think I am I still have yet to see anything at all that would deem these people as Satanic in any sense at all. I've read the OP article and looked through the site, read the bios and checked out the products. I've seen nothing at all to link these people to any type of dark occultist beliefs or practices.

Where exactly did the accusation of "Satanic Rituals" come from?

Let's not forget that many Christian groups will label anything New Age or even slightly Occult as "Satanic" and "Evil"

Also, there's been no allegations of drug use at all, were they really followers of Crowley and his idea of "Do as thou wilt..." I think they would most definitely have been using narcotics.

The horrible reality is that there are plenty of these wackos out there and theyre organized. They look and act like normal people. They are teachers, lawyers, judges, and pretty much any other mundane job you can imagine. You never know if behind closed how screwed up your co workers, your professor, your doctor, your minister, your priest, or even your own family members are. It is really freaking scary.
