This thread is in praise of the miracle of life. Post what you are grateful for, what keeps you breathing, what puts a smile on your face, etc.
Let the love of life be known to the universe
I am grateful for:
my friends here at ATS/BTS
for this chance to learn in this lifetime
this chance to love
the many chance to give
the food that gives me energy
the roof over my head
a bed to rest in
the nature that graces my life
I am grateful to be alive, right here, right now in this moment.
Here is my celebration song:
"We barely remember what came before this precious moment
Choosing to be here, right now.
Hold on. Stay inside.
This body holding me, reminding me that I am not alone.
This body makes me feel eternal, all this pain is an illusion."
I don't really have a whole lot to be grateful for. The little things in life, I guess. A beautiful day, the sun shining, blue sky, plants growing,
birds chirping.... a great song, a funny joke, a smile from a pretty girl....
My friends who keep me going.
A particular friend who kept me alive.
A second chance to rebuild myself.
The chance to help others in their lives.
This website and the fine inhabitants thereof.
More hours than I can count perusing and learning.
The ability to continue learning.
I'm thankful for so much it would take hours to list everything. Here are a few of my favorite things.
I'm thankful and ever so grateful for the life lessons I learned from my parents and grandparents. They made my childhood a fantastic adventure.
My son and daughter make me very proud they are my kids. I'm thankful for them.
Life has been made a new adventure of learning and insight into human nature by my grandchildren. Without them, all 8, I would have a rough time
figuring out my cell phone and the other electronic gadgets I buy. I'm thankful for them.
I'm thankful for the earth and all it's critters. I'm especially thankful for my 4 little dogs. They love me unconditionally. From them I
receive much joy.
ATS has become a safe harbor in the storms of life. Through it's members I am educated, entertained, scared, and have gained much insight into
myself. I am thankful for ATS and every member.
I'm just thankful to be alive in general. Even when everything in your life is going wrong, there's still recognition in the fact that you are
lucky enough to be breathing, hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling, tasting, and just experiencing our world.
So, here's to the world and existence itself!
Oh, and my upcoming vacation and new job...guess I should mention those too...
