Doubles

Not sure if this is a conspiracy, but I was wondering if presidents use doubles for speeches, public events, etc. On the one hand, I have a hard time believing that this might be going on, but on the other hand it makes alot of sense. Any info is appreciated.

Well, I have seen that movie, but I'd heard previously about this. But Vantage Point did spark my curiosity.

I don't know if this is still going on, considering the TV close-up technology etc., but it was certainly true of past leaders. It was common knowledge that leaders had doubles, nothing to do with conspiracies. Franz Joseph of Austria had several doubles, and most of the footage of Stalin, for example, is in reality footage of his double, an actor. (There is even a book about him.)
