Fire reported in cockpit of cargo plane at SFO

The cockpit of a cargo plane caught fire while parked at San Francisco International Airport tonight, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The fire was reported to the FAA at 10:18 p.m. on Abex Boeing 767 Flight No. 1611, FAA spokesman Bruce Nelson said.

The plane, used to transport cargo, was parked at Plot No. 11 in a remote area of the airport when the fire was reported, according to Nelson.

It was unknown if anybody was onboard the plane at the time of the fire, Nelson said.

This is just a wierd little story..I've been wary of news about cargo planes in and out of the US...Lots of CIA drug trafficking these days, they're bound to get a crash or two..I hope one of these days the whole thing blows wide open...

But on the other hand this could also be nothing nefarious or clandestine. Still worth sharing I thought.
