If Obama is a socialist as semper claims then why is Wall street donating twice as much to the Obama campaign than to the mcCain one?

In another tempest in a teapot storm retired General Wesley Clarke has said:

"I certainly honor his service as a prisoner of war. He was a hero to me and to hundreds of thousands and millions of others in the armed forces, as a prisoner of war," Clark told "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer.

"He hasn't held executive responsibility," he said. "That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded -- that wasn't a wartime squadron."

adding: but that his service is not something that, in itself, means he should be president."

And what is being forgotten in all of the hullaboo is that he is right.

McCain's service was honorable and he suffered but that really isn't any qualification to be president.

It looks good on the resume though.

Twice as much???

hmmmmm... Let's see..

As the midterm elections kick into high gear, Wall Street is bolstering its support of Democratic candidates. Fifty-one percent of the $46.3 million in campaign contributions made by securities firms so far during the 2006

BNET

51%

Now by my math that is more, but hardly twice... Must be Liberal Math..

Liberal is as Liberal does....

Maybe you need to look at more than one source, or look past the Liberal math sites...

Considering that Reagan and bush minor are both Republicans and responsible for the largest deficits in U.S. history and especially considering how bush minor turned a budget surplus into a deficit in less than 2 years...

... your rhetoric about liberal math and how its all Democrats fault grows mighty pale semper.

As does your ignoring the REAL situation and constantly trying to blame those NOT in power...

Face it, your Liberal cronies took power in 2006 and have not only done NOTHING, they managed to destroy a healthy economy...

Spin it however you desire..

The facts and timeline are there for all to see...

I told you in 06, to be careful what you wished for you might get it, well you did; $4.00 gas...

Enjoy

Did the deficit raise gas prices? NO

Did the deficit cast us jobs? NO

Did the deficit destroy the housing market? NO

Your Democrats did that all by themselves..

The constant liberal rhetoric about the deficit is so old its moldy.. We need to worry about how we are going to buy gas and pay for our house with the Dems in power and not some obscure deficit problem...

And unlike the previous Republican controlled congress the Democrats do not have a clear majority so they need Republican votes to do anything and the Republicans have been happy to block any legislagation they can so if congress hasn't done anything its not all the Democrats and liberals faults, its the Republicans fault as well.

The Dems can't do squat cause they don't hold a majority. They can't overule a veto. This is like saying a baseball team with 3 players cause the rest are sick or died in a plane crash on the way to the game can't win a game against a full team so they must not be doing anything.

EXACTLY... and I think that most people understand that the reason this congress hasn't done much is because of obstructive GOP practices. The conservatives have always been sore losers and worse winners.

And that is why the GOP is going to lose BIG this fall and no amount of semper's blame everything on those damned liberals and democrats is going to change that... the GOP has had a stranglehold on government for 6 out of 7 years now and they have done nothing except give away the house to the corporations and the already wealthy... and done jack for the little guy.
