Water vapor discovered on mars

www.nytimes.com

“We basically have found what appears to be the requirements, the nutrients, to support life whether past, present or future,” Samuel P. Kounaves of Tufts University, who is leading the chemical analysis, said during a telephone news conference on Thursday. “The sort of soil you have there is the type of soil you’d probably have in your back yard. .”

Why is this not the main headline of every news station world wide?

I mean seriously.
This is exponentially more important than an election/war/economy, in my opinion.

This could lead to a discovery that changes everything.

I agree...this is the story that can lead to the answer of one of mankind's most fundamental questions. This could be the biggest story of the millennium, and yet it falls on deaf ears. I guess if it's not walking, talking, or flying a spaceship, then it doesn't mean anything. Sad.

Ahahahah!

Why isn't it?
Honestly, they've had this information since Viking.
It's beyond silly.
They're going to slowly unveil this at a time when people are really distracted by more immediate concerns.
I was going to put up a bunch of data from previous analyses, but what's the point?
There are some great Mars threads on ATS.

Because NASA is setting the stage in the near future to reveal life exists on Mars as I have been saying for years. Water, ice and soon to be released microbial life verifying what the Viking Landers already knew. Rik Riley

I feel obligated to do this.
If you're really interested in Mars you might find this to be of interest.
