Well I am pretty new to ats.
Just got an account like a week ago.
And I see a lot of people with special titles like writer-fighter-scholar and moderators and stuff. But I saw the thread for the writer fighter thing.
And I know moderators just moderate the boards and stuff.
But I was wondering what exactly is the "subject matter expert" and how do you become one.
Just wondering, Im new to ats as I said before.
And I just like to learn a lot no matter how trivial it is so just wondering if anyone can tell me what these are.
And If theres already a thread can you please link it to me.
Any input welcome.

Pffft... Those guys... They're just big-fat-pretentious-wannabe-know-it-alls.
Seriously though. Show some love or passion or insight in a specific forum (or a combination of all three) and you may just get noticed...

Thanks for the info. I was eoundering about that also, but never really cared about it to do a seach. I guess the subject didn't really matter!

Forum Subject Matter Experts are members that have been selected to serve as facilitators of positive and intelligent
discussion within their designated forum. Some FSME's are highly intelligent professionals in their given field, while others are simply proven
members who have shown their worth and proven to the staff that they can be a tremendous help in furthering great discussion.
FSME's are afforded the opportunity to applaud excellent contributions from members as well, within their designated forum.
How do you become one?
By posting excellent contributions to the board and being a positive member to the board. FSME's are invited, so it is not something you contact
someone and ask for.
I hope that answers a bit of your questions.
Anything else, need only ask.

Ok thanks for all the replies guys.
Just a little thing I was wondering about.
So just thanks again for all the replies.

No FSME's for the Freshman Forum...I asked...
|
More importantly,
Is it really worth the huge salaries these stellar contributors garner for surrendering their amatuer status?

While responding to a Moderator via U2U they mentioned I should become a FSME, and I was like WTH is that?
I did not know what FSME stood for, and asked that Mod, and before they could respond I figured it out, Forum Subject Matter Expert.
The specific topic it was recommended I become one on was Blackwater, because of the thread in the signature you will see below all this writing.
Welcome to ATS.
