Exactly how I feel ..I have put so much time and learning into my plans...
You need people who know what they are doing around in a sit X ..otherwise they may become "dead weights"...and having to sort them out and teach the absolute basics would compromise my position!!
I am in the UK ...and there are very few that actually have an idea how to look after themselves...,,,

I have more than first-aid knowledge as I and my partner are both nurses - she a Respiratory Nurse and myself Trauma and Orthopaedics Nurse. There are a few that haunt this forum that are nurses as well.

I trained as a Health Care assistant and a good one!!!! did the Btech, NVQ ( not very qualified ) and any course I could do ..and passed with flying colours..even offered paid nurse training..I had been in the NHS 3 years!!..
Most of my life before that had been Army, clerk then joiner..then a change ..Nursing ...it was like being a sponge soaking up all this first aid knowledge..
There was a reason for me to learn the skills...First aid knowledge should be a real priority...if you haven't a clue..any injury...you get..and you don't treat...has just lessened your chances of survival!!

You've just made my point! I said "like minded people" meaning people that are survivalists, or have beneficial skills. People that will add to the group, not hinder it. And if all have the necessary knowledge and skills then there would be no problem voting or selecting a leader. You, for example, if you have more knowledge than everyone else, then you'de make a great leader for your group.

That is why i say form before so you can teach them! Those skills will be totally useless if they are dead.

P.S: I note that your signature goes along the lines of "Death is the only Guarentee in life" or such and such.
Perhaps "Open Hostility is the ultimate form of Honesty" would be a good addition to that?
