This site is a price comparison between food prices in 2007 compared to food prices in 2008 The Price Of Food: 2007 - 2008 Notice the marked increases in Field Crops.

Some examples:

Eggs, Grade A one dozen up 28.32%

Flaxseed BU up 134.46%

Lentils CWT up 147.73%

Lemons box up 155.16%

Celery CWT up 106.01%

There are some foods that are cheaper, but the overall trend is much higher prices.
