I Miss you by Incubus ( the video is just dumb... lol here are the lyrics)

To see you when I wake up
Is a gift I didn't think could be real.
To know that you feel the same as I do
Is a three-fold, Utopian dream.

You do something to me that I can't explain.
So would I be out of line if I said "I miss you"?

I see your picture.
I smell your skin on
The empty pillow next to mine.
You have only been gone ten days,
But already I'm wasting away.
I know I'll see you again
Whether far or soon.
But I need you to know that I care,
And I miss you.

‘Those were the days’ by Mary Hopkins is a good tune, very romantic in an odd, timeless sort of way

Here's three of my favs of all time.

Edwin MnNain (No relation to Senator McCain) with I'll Be.

It seems like the carrot is reading my mind. That's because Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls is also on my list. Even though this song sounds like something a stalker would use.

I do have to one up you guys though, one of the greatest love songs of all time. John Michael Montgomery - I Can Love You Like That.

LOL Iris is a good song... I got one that is WAY more stalkerish! (But still a good love song too - I think anyway).. Dark..ish.

Lyrics

Strange & Beautiful - Aqualung

"I've been watching your world from afar,
I've been trying to be where you are,
And I've been secretly falling apart,
I'll see.
To me, you're strange and you're beautiful,
You'd be so perfect with me but you just can't see,
You turn every head but you don't see me.

I'll put a spell on you,
You'll fall asleep and I'll put a spell on you.
And when I wake you,
I'll be the first thing you see, lyricstop
And you'll realise that you love me.

Yeah...
Yeah...

Sometimes, the last thing you want comes in first,
Sometimes, the frist thing you want never comes,
And I know, the waiting is all you can do,
Sometimes...

I'll put a spell on you,
You'll fall asleep,
I'll put a spell on you,
And when I wake you,
I'll be the first thing you see,
And you'll realise that you love me.

I'll put a spell on you,
You'll fall asleep 'cos I'll put a spell on you,
And when I wake you,
I'll be the first thing you see,
And you'll realise that you love me, yeah... "

Lol. Well Morrison was a dark brooding poet, and I love absolutely everything HE ever wrote - not that The Doors recorded - as these are two very different things. Robbie Kreiger wrote songs for them too, that I was not too entirely fond of... Seriously Light My Fire is NOT my favorite song...however The Soft Parade is an excellent song - in my opinion of course. I would lable LOTS of Morrison's work, but that is just me

The Crystal Ship I think is dark and seductive, although, many people argue about the actual "meanings" hidden within the song. I think its a gorgeous song, and you're right Q, why haven't I put him in here yet? Well here goes...Here is some Morrison.

When I think of this song, however, I don't think of anyone in paticular - like I do with most songs. I'm horrible for associating people with songs. Seriously. I have people tied to songs, from people I just "know" to people I've dated, to family.

However, The Crystal Ship is unassigned, maybe I'll just assign it to Jim himself; and the Love that I have for him as a writer... perhaps. This song is more than a Love song to me though... Close your eyes and listen to this, in a dark room, with headphones. The Music Surrounds you, and seriously, I think, is the best way to experience this song.

I would have given anything to see him perform this song Live...

Lol, well a lot of people LOVED Light my Fire. Seriously, I liked it the first time I heard it. I did not like it so much the second time I heard it. And the third time I heard it, I changed the song.
The 7 minute version of the song with the Guitar Solo is pretty great, but other than that, I'm not so much a fan.

The melody was pretty innovative for its time, mixing major and minor chords to produce a sound of "what the heck is this? Is this a Major sound? or is it a Minor sound?" BUT, I can say with absolutle certainty - that I don't think it was one of their best songs.

-----

Another Song that I always liked "Here with Me" - Dido
I love the Piano in this. Lovely.

I won't Go
I won't Sleep
I can't Breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't Hide
I cannot Be
Unitl you're resting here with me

My favorite and imho best lyrics ever to describe love:

Depeche Mode "somebody"

I want somebody to share
Share the rest of my life
Share my innermost thoughts
Know my intimate details
Someone wholl stand by my side
And give me support
And in return
Shell get my support
She will listen to me
When I want to speak
About the world we live in
And life in general
Though my views may be wrong
They may even be perverted
Shell hear me out
And wont easily be converted
To my way of thinking
In fact shell often disagree
But at the end of it all
She will understand me
Aaaahhhhh....

I want somebody who cares
For me passionately
With every thought and
With every breath
Someone wholl help me see things
In a different light
All the things I detest
I will almost like
I dont want to be tied
To anyones strings
Im carefully trying to steer clear of
Those things
But when Im asleep
I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me
And kiss me tenderly
Though things like this
Make me sick
In a case like this
Ill get away with it
Aaaahhhhh....
