UFOs over Liverpool UK - BBC news & several sightings

Well maybe the Ailens got wind of the fact that Liverpool is curretnly the European Capital of Culture and decided to check it out!! Anyhow joking apart i'll keep an open mind on this. But bearing in mind Speak Airport or now known as John Lennon Airport is not that far away and there is alot of commercial aircraft over Liverpool. What would be cool if a UFO appearedd over one of Liverpool's icons such as the Liver Buildings. Now that would be impressive.

The thing is you know as well I do the BBC are part of the elite and will never entertain any sort of disclosure until they are forced to.

Both the BBC and SUN videos are interesting.

The BBC video from liverpool appears to have been taken when it was fairly light still. Also there is a big road side lamp post right next to where the footage is being taken and yet you can still see the UFO's easily. THey must have been near or very bright... Also the objects do not appear to move in the sky.

The SUN footage is taken later in the evening by the looks, and the UFO's are moving.

So two very different sets of footage i think. Two different types of UFO's.

Its abotu time we had soem UFO activity in the UK. The US has had most the fun so far...

This is all very intresting.

this made the front of the skynews website as well. guess we can't complain about media ignorance with regards to UFOs anymore. This is right in everyones face.

Theres something interesting to all of this.

First a police sighting and chase.
Second, a civilian sighting and video.
Thirdly a military sighting with video.

All sources seem genuine to me and the accompanying video adds credence to the claims, even if they are somewhat blurry.

This will probably all just blow over and be forgotten but I get the feeling something odd is going on.

The conflicting stories in the police report were even compared in an article I read from the Australian ABC.

As Nick Pope said on The Sun website, such video and testimony will probably lead to some sort of official investigation. Going by what he says, they will be very hard for the MOD to explain away.

Mainstream media coverage, even front page news, credibility of sources, coupled with the properties of the objects in the videos lead me to spectulate that something may be in the works.

Although disclosure is not really an option, perhaps we are seeing the movement towards a more informed society. The people in the know (or not in the know - I'm not too sure about how much governments actually do know) could claim ignorance of the issue over the last 60 years. When you consider the politics involved, I don't feel that disclosure (again, how much or how little they do know is in question) will truly happen, but a ' discovery' approach could work well, especially in light of pre-seeded religious announcements concerning possiblity of life in the universe.

The conflicting media reports set off alarm bells for me, but I'm probably just over-analysing the situation.

I say again it will probably blow over, this stuff always does, but there is something that seems different about these recent reports.

Hey, if it all gets swept under the rug or proven as an incredible hoax, at least more people will be aiming their cameras at the skies!

the way it looks from here in the u.s. is that you guys in the u.k. are being prepped for something spectacular .
our gov still wont let on about whats about to happen but yet yours has released all of those ufo files for all to see . but then thats typical for our government in the u.s. thinking that they know whats best for every individual .

I saw the Shropshire UFOs too- as did about 30 other people who also stopped thier cars on the A5 at about 1am on Sunday 8th June and stared in disbalief as 25 or more cubes moved across the sky rotating rapidly head over heels. They were solid objects and no they were NOT chinese lanterns. Amazing.

Hi, I have been a viewing non-contributor to this great site for some months now and have also been monitoring the whole UFO phenomena for a number of years. In recent weeks there has been huge media coverage of late, one that seems to have been taken to new heights with the Cardiff, Shropshire and Liverpool sightings.

I currently live in Nottinghamshire, and for the past six months there has been regulator sightings of the same object hovering over a small village called Langworth. The object has been described as a big ball of fire; it stays in the air for a long period of time then vanishes. I’ve personally seen the same object in a place called Cuckney, which is about 2 miles from where the original sightings were.

Just as a point of interest, I work in a call centre and we have encountered major problems with our phone system, I’m sure many of you will be aware of the premium rate 0845 number. The services that provide the line connection have admitted this morning they have never had a situation like it. We have been receiving calls all morning but instead of greeting the person on the other end of the phone, two people are already engaging in a conversation. I’ve actually been innocently been listening in on many calls…. Massive breech of confidentiality!

I know what you are thinking, “what the hell has this got to do with this topic,” probably nothing, may just be my paranoid mind going into overdrive, however I find it slightly strange that all these things have been seen over our skies and we have a problem like this. This may also get main media coverage as it’s allegedly disrupted many businesses across the UK… watch this space.

There is definitely something going on in the U.K. There are sightings all over Britain. The amount of UFO coverage in the news and papers is mind boggling. Interesting times ahead. Keep your eyes peeled folks.

Very interesting to see all the buzz about UFO's over the UK recently. I shall deifinitely keep an eye on the sky, when it isn't completely clouded over anyway!

Personally I don't believe in ETs visiting Earth, and have never seen a UFO, but its always worth keeping an open mind.

Yea i ment all the stuff thats happened over this short period of time in the uk (1-2 years) is still small comped to the last half a century of American activity. Its nice to be reading some articles lately and know the location and be able to visualise the settings better.

On 14th May 2007 a very similar string of orangey lights appeared over Bangor, Northern Ireland (it was covered on the local news here) and again over a nightclub in England (possibly Lancashire in the autumn - my memory has gone). These lights seem to be peculiar to the UK but they remind me a bit of the formations of the Ovni in Mexico.

i live in liverpool and have also seen lights over the city but am not 100% sure what i saw, it was 3 am and i got my mum and brother out of bed to see what i was seeing ,it was like a blurred light moving very quickly and then stopping.
but with it being the capital of culture year i wouldnt put it past the liverppol council to do this to drum up business and interset in the city (sceptical).

I got into UFO's about a year ago, I live in the UK, at the time everyone thought I was a nutter and UFO's were rarely mentioned in the MSM. Now it seems like TPTB are trying to shift the British consciousness from, all UFO people are nutters, to 'well of course UFO's exist'. I just hope Dr Greer wasnt right and Aliens aren't going to be the next Bin Laden. It makes sense though now people are waking up to 911 :s.
