Here in Africa we have the African Union with a "Pan-African parliament", but to be honest I cannot see how it really functions. There are still
sovereign separate nations, strict border control, different currencies, different flags, etc. See link to Pan-African Parliament website
Here in South Africa we battle to find common ground between the different cultures, so I do not know how they think to combine the whole of Africa
with 100's of cultures and religions.
Then also, if I think about the Middle-East and Asia, it is difficult to envisage how they will succeed to get those diverse nations together in a
single political structure.
