++It has been a few years since I last posted any poetry on ATS.++

The rain seems elegant tonight,
moon and stars are pari passu but you
are far and out of sight

I'm not a grandiose looking man,
but tragically I stand with an empty hand,
tonight you are out of sight,

I can hear the birds taking flight,
the cries beat romantically for me to hear,
but I shed tears tonight

Each tear drops a verse,
Each verse paints a curse,
But the Earth apprise this will get worse,

No more stars shining bright,
No more birds taking flight,
No more you with me tonight
