With the nomination in hand, did JFK come up with milktoast platitudes and rote sound bytes? No, he didn't.
He came with it. Thank You Howard Dean !!

The TOP EXCERPTS from KERRY's "SUPER TUESDAY"
VICTORY SPEECH!

"For more than 30 years, I've been on the battle
lines, on the frontlines of the struggle for fairness
and for mainstream American values, and in 2004, I
pledge we will tell the truth about what has happened
in our country."

"I pledge to you with every fiber in my body and
every ounce of energy that I can find, we will put the
tax code of this nation up to the light of democracy
and scrutiny of the American people, and we will
repeal every tax break and every loophole that rewards
any corporation for gaming the tax code and going
overseas to avoid their responsibilities to people in
the United States of America."

"We will fight as never before for workers
protections and for environmental protections in the
trade agreements of the United States of America. And,
long overdue, waiting to be achieved as a matter of
fundamental fairness, we will raise the minimum wage
so that no one in America works a 40-hour work week
and can't get out of poverty."

"We will meet one of the most historic challenges
of our generation. We will provide a bold new
initiative to guarantee that we have a plan for energy
independence for the United States. We will invest in
the technologies of the future. And we will create
500,000 new jobs doing so, so that no young American
in uniform will ever be held hostage to America's
dependence on oil in the Middle East."

"We will complete the mission begun by Harry Truman
to make certain that health care is regarded as a
right and not a privilege in the United States of
America."

"On behalf of all Americans and on behalf of the
other 96 percent of humankind waiting for leadership
from the United States
, we will re-join the community
of nations and we will renew our alliances and we will
build new alliances because they are essential to the
final victory and success of a war on terror."

"This president has said again and again that he
wants to run on national security. Well, if George
Bush wants to make national security the central issue
of the campaign of 2004, I have three words for him
that I know he understands: BRING IT ON."

"Our opponents can't campaign on jobs or heath care
or fiscal responsibility. Instead, George Bush, who
promised to become a uniter, has become the great
divider. And just last week he proposed to amend the
Constitution of the United States for political
purposes. And we say that he has no right to misuse
the most precious document in our history in an effort
to divide this nation and distract us from our goals."

"Our campaign is about building a fairer, safer,
more prosperous America,
the nation that is again the
great light to all the world."

Pray for the man, the dark forces running the country behind the Bush team have a way of crashing planes of people who make stands like this.

Interesting. My initial take on Kerry (when I thought he had no chance) was he looks like the kind of Senator that dies in a plane crash.

You know the type. Idealistic. Dangerous. Before his time. While the retro-bastards seemingly cling to life like a pact with the devil.

And we will create 500,000 new jobs

Yeah yeah yeah....I'm SURE he's telling the whole truth. In my country, just before the elections, the socialists ( Democrats in the USA ) told us that they would create 200000 jobs. ( Anyway I didn't vote for them
)

We're still waiting for these 200000 jobs. Also, right after the elections, they dared to say that they weren't really serious when they said 200000.
Now they're cutting back all the socials programs ( wellfare, healthcare...etc... ).

If Americans leftists are all like Europeans leftists, then good luck with your so-called 500000 jobs and social programs.

P.S : I won't waste my time to quote the rest of your post, since in my opinion, it's just craps & BS.

Actually, I could be wrong but I'd wager most American "lefties" are more like what Europe calls conservatives, and our right wing is like nothing you've seen short of science fiction. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I'm not that far off.

Democrats, especially southern democrats are not that liberal these days. Not Euro liberal anyway.

And BT, I've never heard of the ORDER.

His first wet dream was about Ronald Reagan!

He has severe GOP-o-phile-itis

"the Order" is a movie with Heath Ledger. He plays a priest from a demon fighting order of the Church. He comes across another rouge priest who is a Sin-Eater - they perform a last rite that cleaves all the sins away from the dying so that they can enter heaven.
Being smacked around by Jesuits, Nuns & the Brotherhood for my first 12 years of education has given me a love of movies dealing with Heaven & Hell - "the 7th Sign", "Prophecy", "Jacobs Ladder", "Stigmata"

But, I have no desire to see the Mel Gibson flick.

I think you would really like Mel's movie.

It is surprising in many ways and no one, critics, your friends, can really tell what it is.

You have to see it to understand.

Yeah, from my short time spent over there, that's the impression I got. It seemed like the "liberals" were socialists and the conservatives were more like American liberals or moderates.

On the other hand, the people who were as far right as the Bu#es were usually confined to the fringe and considered kooks. Of course there's always a few exceptions....

That man truly scares me!
And, this has nothing to do with party affiliaction. Bush, Daddy has the same effect on me.
Kerry has a treacherous face. Even his smile is evil and insincere.
There's an old saying, "Be careful what you ask for."
I say it to all of you who choose to vote for Kerry.
