What would the ideal weapon be?

I think something like the Crusader!
(big long range tank type thing, shoots 8 shells at different angles so they all hit at the same time)

Or a weapon that killed the enemy but did no damage to buildings or other people...but thats not going to happen...

So what do you think?

This has been done several times before, but I guess one more time does not hurt. I think star wars percision like weapon would reek havok on most earthly nations. I believe there is a thread on the board right now called the "Rods of God" that pretty much some it up.

Anyone ever see that 80s film with Val Kilmer called Real Genius? A condenced energy beam from space, possiblly from a satelite.

We already have the ideal weapon. It's the A/H bomb.

These bombs are the ideal weapons because we can't use them, otherwise......

Yes A bomb is hard to stop.. Could easily go for a high atmoshere or space detonation and take out my star wars - rods of god weapon... That sucks!

The ideal weapon is the media and the internet.
so you can control everything people hear and see
so you have them under you control.

good point. the govt knows that the media is a much more dangerous weapon than any that does physical harm.

But what do you have left to claim after you have killed the enemy: radiated, dead land? Wipe them all out, but still be able to take their land and stuff.

Oh, Oh! I got it! Find the exact frequency to shatter the human skull, then drop (via parashute) a audio divise that would play that frequency for a fixed amount of time. After that time has elapsed just walk in and shovel the bodies out of the way. THE CITY IS OURS!

I think something that worked like a large thermonuclear weapon, but without the radiation. And it would have to be very difficult to manufacture and astronomically expensive to produce by anyone but us in order to be truly ideal.

Nah the neutron was teh exact opposite, it was a bomb that was all radiation all the time. It was supposed to make areas takeable years after the war had ended with minimal destruction.

A little grey box with a big red button (the colors are important) that would transform all your enemys into cows. Of course you eat the cows afterwards.
