The craziest thing that has ever happened to me has to be logging on to this site and reading how "evil" the US is.

I didn't know so many people believed this stuff.

My mother used to tell me this strange story about a ball lighting that happens in the summer in the mid70s

This happened in the Laurentian Mountains somewhere near Mont Tremblant ski resort, before it became a huge tourism destination.
She, along with some of her friends rent a small chalet for the weekend. Unfortunatly, during the first evening, it start raining, raining big time.
Then the rain became a huge thunderstorm. This storm was unusualy long and lasted for hours. Then at maybe 9pm, when everyone was inside talking, they heard a very loud thunder strike, then a ball of light ''a little bit larger than a baseball''enter the house through a closed glass window. The ball stayed inside for maybe 30sec then disapear into thin air.

I wake up for work everyday at 6am and leave my house at 6:30am to make a boat into NYC. About a month ago one morning, I had just showered and was brushing my teeth. I heard what sounded like a helicopter hovering over my house and just figured that one was flying over...but the noise was persistent. As I have to make a boat at 7am, I finished getting ready.

As I was stepping into my car to drive to the boat, I saw the helicopter, hovering directly over my neighbor's house. As I started to pull out of the driveway and drive down the block, the helicopter followed. It is about a 20 minute drive to the boat from my house and the helicopter followed me the whole way there. I kept looking out of my driver's window to see it and also kept my windows down so I could hear the sound. The helicopter was navy blue with some grey on it.

Now on the boat, starting to feel like a scene out of Goodfella's, I was outside on the front of the boat looking for the helicopter and I spotted it flying towards Manhattan.

After the 30 minute boat ride and transfer to a subway, I got into work at 8am. After an hour of work, I like to take a smoke break up on the roof of my building as it's a great view of all the buildings in the city. Sure enough when I got up on the roof, there was the SAME helicopter hovering over MY building. It completely freaked me out and I went back inside. After another two hours of work, I went back up for my second smoke break. The helicopter was no where in sight.

And no, I am not a criminal, and not worthy of such attention!

Well lets see I've had a couple wierd experiences ones that usually occurred before or after I would be sleeping. I used to have these out of body experiences, which I guess is what they were. What would happen is I'd be trying to fall asleep when I would feel this vibration throughout my body and I would feel like I was hovering. This has happened a few times, one particular time I remember 'seeing' lights and a noise I can only describe as something a UFO would make some high pitched pulsating noise.

A couple more times more recently, this time after I would wake up but I would kind of still be asleep I saw a dark figure standing in my room. Now I must have been awake enough to react because I screamed and turned on the light, however no one was there. I did have this odd feeling of being watched before I went to bed that night though. More recently I was in a hotel room and the same thing happened I woke up and saw something moving near the bathroom a whitish kind of human figure. I'm still pretty skeptical about these experiences, except perhaps the O.B.E. ones. I still have no idea if this is all my imagination or if something else is really happening.
Drugs were not involved.

ignoring the lame posts of some, I have had strange happenings.

Me and my husband was driving to a casino in alabama on interstate 85. when I looked to my right and saw a sphere of about 12 inches in diameter and it was vibrating with brillant colors. Also saw a sphere of completely white same diameter on 75 in atlanta with my step son and husband. Yes we all 3 saw them, but only I saw the one going to the casino.

I also have had "HI" on my inner thigh. Looked liked a jailhouse tattoo. Went away after a week or so. I posted on here about it, but it caused so much grief and outrageous comments, I left the thread.

As a kid, me and some friends done a sayunce (sp) and lightbulbs broke. Done one in a cemetary and the birds attacked us so we left.

When my mom died, we came home from pennsylvania, and the phone rang and we answered it over and over and over again. After about 5 - 7 calls we smashed the phone with our feet and it continued to ring for about 30 minutes or less. Also the dog attacked me in my bed and the tv went on and off. This is a much deeper story but I will leave it here.

Tons of tiny little UT OH's through my life. All good, but still the things that make you go hmmmmm.

A few moths ago, i was sitting on my laptop, the screen started flashing, off, on, off and on. Then it went black and when it turned back on the screen was all white and a strange figure of a face apeared in the middle i didn't know what it was at the time, but the closer i looked, the more it resembled Jesus. Then, the screen flashed again and the page i was browsing came back on, I didn't know what to think of this; a religious experience; somebody playing a prank on me?

The next month, the exact same thing happened, this time, i counted how many flashed there were, 12. 12 dlashed, was this meant to represent the 12 diciples, was this a calling card from Jesus to me, I havn't been to church for a while, or confession, what on earth could it have been or meant.

I don't have an explanation for this but my laptop may have been hacked, because after that when i enhanced my security it never happened again, but when i turned it off it happened 1 last time. This whole event freaked me out and i don't know what to think of it, i'll ignore it as it was probably a joke that was played on me by some one. if it wasn't then i don't know what to say or think.

Just to make it clear, no drugs of any kind were being used.

A good few years back a friend and I decided to have a snoop round a deralict building, it was quite large as it was originally a care home. Anyway, we went upstairs to have a look round and went into the first room at the top of the stairs. We looked out the window for a few minutes chatting before we decided to carry on looking round.

On leaving the room we both stood confussed in the hallway, we were expecting to see the flight of stairs we had just walked up in front of us, but instead there was just a solid wall. The stairway was up the other end of the hallway, a good 40ft away?. We went back into the room thinking we had came out the wrong door, it was the only one in the room other than the bathroom!. It still makes the hair on the back of my neck rise when I think about it.

Just a few nights ago, I was having a dream where i found myself in the house of one of my very good online friends, together with him. I have known him for 6 years but never yet met him in person, only talked thru the internet (he lives in another country, but weve always planned to meet up one day). Anyway, I was with him at his home in my dream, and we were so happy about finally meeting, looking into eachothers eyes. It was a very detailed and vivid dream.

The next morning I logged on to MSN and I dont even get the time to tell him "whatsup" before he starts telling me about a dream he had about meeting me at the airport, and going to his house, looking into eachothers eyes and basiacly re-telling me the same dream i had the same night as him. When i told him what i remembered from my dream, they both matched up perfectly, except i didnt remember the airport part, but they both ended by us two standing outside his house, ready to go out on a mission.

You can pretty much say were still in shock

I just want to take a brief moment to thank everyone for posting thier stories here on my thread. I'm seeing a lot of really great stuff now. The topic has really taken off. We've had a few first ever posters and as well as some esteemed ATS regulars who've taken a moment to share things with us. Thanks to all. Okay, like most I have a few. Ghost encounters etc. But with my relatively recent interest in UFOs I sometimes ponder this one.

When I was in my early twenties I was driving down a busy road in the afternoon, by myself and turned onto a country road with forest on both sides. My car died. Didn't sputter or anything. I was doing maybe 30 MPH after the turn and everything went dead. The radio, everything. My car rolls to a stop and I fiddle with the ignition and nothing happens and I open the door and get out. There was a loud electrical like humming sound comming from the woods to my right AND there maybe ten yards in front of me is a pickup truck with a man standing with his door open staring at the woods like I was. I say "did your car die" he says, "yep" and we both look nervously at the woods where the loud humming was emenating from. A minute passes and then the humming just stops. I look at him, he looks at me. I reach in and turn my ignition and my car starts right up. He gets in his car and his car starts. We both drive away.

I have sometimes wondered what that was all about. I believe in UFO's...but for whatever reason I don't think I was abducted or anything and have mostly filed it under bizzare things that happen.

The house we lived in when I was a teenager was occupied by what I would call a very pissed off spirit. I would hear footsteps at night and feel like I wasn't alone in my room. A couple of times I heard noises in the garage that I couldn't explain. One was the distinct sound of a heavy piece of furniture falling to the ground with a loud crash, but nothing had fallen when I went out to check.

The best story I have though comes from my grandmother, now deceased. She and my grandpa, also deceased, were sitting on the back porch of their house one night and noticed a man dressed in a white suit walking through the next door neighbor's yard toward their yard. They said he walked through the fence into their yard. Grandpa said hello to the man and the man stopped, turned and bowed before them, then turned back and continued walking, through the fence on the other side of the yard toward the next door neighbor's yard. Grandma said they found out the next day that the lady that lived two houses down had passed away in her sleep that night. She thinks that she and grandpa saw Death and that he bowed before them because they were Christians.
