These videos are always hard to make a opinion on. The quality of the messenger is usually important, but even then with the technology available, every video can be a fake. We talk about these types of videos on the show every Sunday and almost each week there is a new one. I will admit it's always fun to watch and see how creative folks are getting, but I do think in the end it hurts the subject from an overall credibility standpoint.

For those still wondering where the external comments come from, follow the youtube link to the page and open the more info box.

It is an interesting video nonetheless even if it were supposed to be in Dallas, off I35.....oops. Sounds too much like the last one.

Not to give this hoaxer any ideas, but hey buddy! How about that freaking Mobil Horse, eh? You haven't used it in a vid yet.

The UFO attacked the FBI building just a few minutes ago.

I was trying to catch some kids who keep on breaking into cars in our parking lot and actually caught this. We don't have cameras planted that far back in the parking lot where the kids have been stealing, so I put one in my car.

We just had some Agents come here and look at our surveillance tapes from the inside of the theatre. I wanted to post this before I hand it in to them.

There are fire trucks and police cars all over in their parking lot. And they shut my AMC theatre down, "For Safety Reasons" This happened about 20 minutes ago, 9:40PM. They were talking about shutting down I35 right outside the building

i am not a CGI expert - so lets take a diferent tack , is thier any evidence that this ` backstory ` is true ????????

The position of the camera and angle doesn't go along with a building camera either. Some cameras are mounted high on the light poles as well. This one does appear to be close to ground level.

Aren't surveillance cameras also typically in snap shots every few seconds or so? The clarity and quality is also too good for this type of system.

The one bright light reminds me of a tower, possibly an airport or jailhouse. Is this really a federal building or not? I'm guessing a prison, factory or even a high school. The light may have also been added.

Strong chance it's fake by some high school student.

Did the FBI bldg. in Dallas loose power this morning?

Any Dallas members who can check it out?

I apologise if anyone has already mentioned this but I would have thought, if he really had put a camera there to record cars being broken in to, then surely the camera would have been positioned in a better area, not in a place that can see just 1/3 of the lot.
Of course, he could have camera's positioned elsewhere too.
Actually, I'm almost completely sure that if anyone was to visit that car park, they would see that it has heavy security, with several CCTV cameras jotted around the area. I know America doesn't have as much car crime as the UK but surely you have enough to have made all car parks secure a long time ago, like we have here.

He also seems t be using a relatively decent (expensive) cam-corder, it would have been cheaper and easier to catch the people involved with a reall CCTV system installed.

To the person who asked why a thirty odd year old man with a family would hoax something, well, for fun? For attention? Same reasons all hoaxers do what they do. You think about all the most famous hoaxes (Ripper diary, Hitler diary, Meier, Roswell alien autopsy etc etc etc) and you will see that the majority, the vast majority are middle aged men with families, without any known mental illnesses.
And to suggest that he would go to jail for hoaxing or causing public panic, is ludicrous!

OP. I don't understand why you would make your post and start your thread without a link to where you came across this information. That knowledge would allow everyone here firmer theories.

Anyway, nice thread and thanks for showing us. It's interesting, to say the least.
(I'm only up to the start of the second page, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to find this has already been completely debunked

Compare this video to the "attack" video. This is a quick test of the lightning effect in After Effects by some random YouTube user:

And the "attack":

Look familiar?

I was going to post another test video of the same effect, but viewed side to side it actually looked more realistic than the lightning in the attack video.

The main "problem" here is the blue color of the lightning strike. As was pointed out earlier, there are light sources in the picture that would be far dimmer than an electric discharge (like street lights) that are completely white and burned out. So if this was a real video it would require the lightning wouldn't give out any more light than an average lava lamp.

Not to mention that an electric discharge of that size would make a sound.

Nice story, would have been interesting if it was real, but it's just a hoax.

it's only been debunked in so far as to say some people are screaming in your ears calling it fake, and anyone who believes it is stupid!! (typical debunker with no clout at all, tactics)

until the actual image specialists get their hands on the origional footage, then it's going to be back and forth all night long.

I'm uploading mine to mufon now (I posted the youtube for it the other week, never got round to uploading it properly, will put it up for download aswell on meduafire.)

BTW: EMP's are not typically visible, the notion that it is, is pure Hollywood. Secondly, has anyone checked to see what he weather was like that evening? It could just be lightning. I would agree tht is is indeed too... "perfect" to simply be lightning. But what I could see is a "car sale" like blimp that simply got hit and transferred the charge along its grounding wire. The light we are then seeing is the plasma cloud being created along this wire. Unfortunatly I can't load the video now so I can't tell how long the strike occurs. If its longer than say, two or three seconds then its definatly not lightning. Regardless of the theories; nice find! very interesting none the less. I would hazzard a guess that if it isn't some sort of lighning or natural event, then it could very well be some sort of military black project; then again who really knows.

I think i recognize the standard Lightning plugin from Adobe After effects.

Could easily be CGI. I could make this easily.

Sorry, I'm convinced of life out there but these could be anything.

Easy producable.

Geno's pulsing light beam:

FBI building pulsing light beam:

Also note that the FBI video was set up on a tri-pod as if it was 'expecting' to film something. I find this suspicious. YouTube poster offers no time and place, or any other details. I'm going with HOAX.

I 100% Agree. This is without a doubt a hoax. FBI building "attacked" and by chance I was just filming it hoping to catch some sneaky thieves

give me a break.

There appears to be someone sat in the white car, between the camera and the "event". Whoever is in the car pays no attention at all to what is supposed to be happening, that's fair enough but when lightening hits, the whole area, within a few square miles lights up, so I would expect him/her to at least react to that, especially as it is a calm weathered night. A bolt out of the blue, so to speak, would certainly make you want to investigate the causes.

Thanks Fathom.

A question for anyone: if something could be attributed to the car/camera being disturbed, wouldn't you normally expect additional (albeit slight) movement as the energy from whatever caused the shift (e.g., wind, person bumping the car, etc.) dissipated with the tires/shocks... instead of the quick, single jump in the video we see here?

Possibly... maybe even probably but the jump could be caused by several things. In the same way that our houses contract and expand through the 24 hours, with the heat of the day and the cold of the night, causing creaks and bangs, the whole house is moving but we just don't notice it.
Maybe something similar happens with cars, or maybe it is the suspension settling.

would be awesome if this was a real video but something about the lighting just screams After Effects as mentioned:

it's a black sky so you can have fun with effects.
plus, a targeted discharged like that would most definitely cause some damage and the media would be covering it by now.

I agree with you 100%. Don't you think this would be the best way to keep people from finding out the real stuff? I believe that the goal is to flood us with a lot of fake, CGI stuff because it looks so real, we would be able to tell the real from the fake..... DIS-Info at its best

I don't agree. The majority of the Worlds population, or at least the West's (Europe and North America) very rarely consider UFO's or visiting aliens and when they do, it is with ridicule. No one takes it seriously anyway, no one even thinks about it. So, all this is doing is putting it into the thoughts of the public. It is giving the whole area of UFOlogy attention, making people consider and think about it.

It would be better, as a "disinfo agent" (which I don't believe there to be, except in times of real political unrest, or leadership change) to ignore it completely and let the public do exactly the same.

I agree. That's the first thing I notice about this vid that doesn't "feel right." The odd angle the "UFO" comes in at and the way it stops on a dime with no slow-down before doing so. Watch it enter our view as the car appears several times and compare the movement of the two.

The other thing that brought up a question AND should be able to easily point toward hoax or credibility is the power outtage after the "strike." If there was a power outtage in that area, it will be easily researchable.
So why did the parking lots lights stay on? Did the power go out anywhere else EXCEPT those buildings? All questions that need to be answered.

Who are you quoting here?

Has YouTube actually cropped up with a recent (last 5/10 years) UFO video that people are pretty sure is not CGI's or faked?

If someone REALLY wants someone to go talk to the guy then I suppose I could do that being that I am fairly close to there.
