McCain's Secret, Questionable (Military) Record

McCain wasn't tortured into giving up the lives of his comrades. He was injured and volunteered those men in exchange for medical care. What would I do if faced with a similar situation, in possession of such knowledge? I don't know. I hope I would try to kill myself. What I absolutely wouldn't do is betray my brothers in arms and come home to hide behind daddy like a gutless swine. Then I wouldn't spend the rest of my career trying to suppress any investigation into my treacherous acts.

The so-called conservatives in this country have handed this election over to the socialists by placing this rancid maggot infested sack of dog vomit on the chopping block. May the blade swing swiftly.

Does he? Probably. If he were Mr McCain, some Joe Schmoe worker putting food on the table, he would be having problems earning a good living. And that's how the VA rates their pay, unfortunately.

I struggle to understand how McCain could get so far without someone deeply and unrelentingly scrutinising every aspect of his military service. The more I read, the more I hear 'Manchurian Candidate' as a soul-numbing refrain...

Well done Grover. Understand that everybody knows McCain is a con, the biggest hypocrite of em all, so much even his fellow righties have to warn him of the steps he takes. My point here is that you can throw all these facts to these Bushies and they will not listen, their job is to continue Bushes third term and keep the brown man out of office. After 7years of failed Bush policies and the state of this nations economy, you would have been forgiven to assume the vast majority of people "woke up" to the truth. Ignorance is bliss indeed.

I don't know what precentage disability McCain has. The system was developed in the 40's and hasn't changed since. Take for example I have a bad knee from a fall I took in the military that broke my leg just below it... the most I can ever get for that knee is 30% even though it will go up to temporary 100% for 13 months after I have it replaced once that 13 months is over it will go back down to 30% and stay there.

Now I walk with a bad limp and I cannot put standing weight down on my left leg for more than a few moments at a time and consequently it is weakening my hip and lower back increasing the likely hood of a fall and possible broken hip... even though there is a direct cause and affect getting any further disability as secondary damage is like pulling teeth.

Now in regards to McCains bad arm... unless it is his preferred arm, it really should not be much more in compensation than my knee if that... after all you can train yourself to use your other arm and it doesn't seriously hinder your mobility and the like...

... of course since he is a privilaged son it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he gets 100%.

McCain is a money hungry republican that loves war! Nothing more to say! All Republicans are the enemy!! There's something evil about Obama.... Both sides are ridiculous! We need an ordinary citizen to run this country. Somebody that really cares about all people, and not money and power! Obama will get shot at if he wins, and if McCain wins, we'll never stop the war. I say forget about what's going on over there! Use our own resources and stop trying to be the rulers of the world! No wonder everybody hates us.....

I keep hearing "He's a war hero". Why is he a war hero? Being a POW does not a hero make.
IMO, he is way to old to be in that office. The world is a different place and he continues to make mistakes in what he says.

Why is this even posted? All of the politicians lie. ALL of them. They can't not lie. That'd be against their ethics. Sure, some were probably shoved into and forced to go along with the lies, yet they still lied.

McCain is no different than any other politician. Him AND Obama have some things in common when it comes to lies. Remember when Obama bought those extra houses illegally? Yeah, well that was discovered and forgotten like it was ten years ago news. No, it was just last year. What is up with these people??

I'm sure the MO for McCain doing and saying what he does, is so he doesn't look as bad. If had a physical problem, hell who cares!! Like someone mentioned earlier, FDR was in a wheel chair for christ sakes WHILE he bombed Hiroshima. If it were your own skin trying to do something that nobody else will and doesn't want to get blamed or judged accordingly to something you couldn't help, wouldn't you try your best to cover it up, to keep it from affecting peoples decisions?

The opinion on this could keep going on and on. But I'll leave it at that.

We all lie. Politicians lie. The Bible was hypocritical. And Columbus was wrong, the Earth IS round so pointing it out isn't going to make one bit of a difference.

No doubt McCain has physical and mental limitations but his votes in Congress since prove HE WAS NEVER TORTURED.

He sided with Bush to make that point. We do it all the time now.
