Bush urges UK against troop withdrawal

US President George W Bush has urged British Prime Minister Gordon Brown today not to set a timetable for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq

"Our answer is there should be no definitive timetable,'' Mr Bush said.

The newspaper described Mr Bush as issuing a warning to Mr Brown but the White House dismissed that tone, saying there was no disagreement between the United States and Britain on Iraq.

What's the difference between the UK and the USA these days? Hardly any, with Bush trying to pull the strings...

The USA won their war for Independence and ever since, have they wanted the UK to have any of their own?

Bush said it himself - he has no timetable to ever withdraw from Iraq. Ever!

Good. Bush is also facing demonstrations against his visit. See here. I bet he wishes that he could enact his powers on UK soil to control the locals.
