However, I would like to know why someone who posted earlier would want to include the Mormons (known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) in that list of secret socities.

Mormons do have some secrecy, plus...only select few are allowed into the Temple....

Not to mention, Joseph Smith was a Freemason.

besides, not all secret societies are satanic....Masons got that reputation because Albert Pike used the word Lucifer in some writings. the problem is that Lucifer doesn't necessarily mean devil...it means Morning Star. feel free to look that one up too, i'll wait...

anyway, take into account that a requirement to be a Mason is belief in a supreme being of some sort...they just won't dictate who that deity is...so you can be Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim...you get the idea. and they use a bible in some of their ceremonies...that's THE Bible. not too satanic...

Look, i'm not promoting Masons, and i'm not discriminating Mormons...i'm just saying:

They have more in common that you realize...think about it, before you judge too quickly.

you see, there's also a society that none of you probably know about. it's called the Order of the Arrow. I'm a brother and we don't label ourselves a secret society, we're an honour's society. we're based on community service and the ideals of many native american tribes.

We are men of honor with respect and pride for our nation, human kind, our world. It is smart to locate militias who share the same philosophies. Their is also a myspace page during its height. Eternal warrior society keeps strong network, using resistant groups/militias such as the irish republic army, and the rogue nation eternal militia. Goal is information to public on the tyranny ahead in world and to protect the people with resistance. The group is worldwide and growing everyday. Rituals consist of honorable practices of noble warriors before us. Our story has been told from its members overtime using etertainment to gather the spirits of men. This is not only in america, but world wide. The group stays a mystery for its own protection and we wear 'skimask' to hide our idenity for protection of us, our members, our friends, our loved ones.

While it's true that temple attendance is restricted to members in good standing, that's certainly not a few. In fact, regular temple attendance is strongly encouraged of each member.
