A Fathers Day......

"Hey Dad."
It couldn't be more beautiful. Mid 80's. Sunny, a nice breeze...........
"Dad the grass is completely perfect over you."
Not one blade out of place.
"Dad I need to talk to you. My personal life just blew up. G-Damn it Dad I miss you so F-n much. I haven't seen your Grandson in a couple days. I'm dying inside. How did you do it? Not seeing me for months at a time?"
The sun was basking down on me.
"Dad, I came here directly from a camping trip. Just the way you taught me. The way I learned in SF Training. I got my head together... I think. Dad. This is my first Fathers Day without you. Happy Fathers Day Dad."
The day is perfectly beautiful.

I cant remember shedding so many tears.
"I miss you. Happy Fathers Day Dad.. I love you Daddy."

A bunch have viewed this and no one has said anything, but I just wanted to say, that is beautiful. My grandfather passed away this past New Years Day. We were really close, so I know how you feel.

Hi lombozo. I'm so glad that you had a chance to get away and reflect. I know that you miss your dad. You have a way of helping us all realize what we have to be so thankful for.
