Will corrupt politicians and illegal policies remain hidden?

The title as posted is the title of a blog from KSTP Channel 5 Reporter Mark Albert (Twin Cities News Station). KSTP is also the station that brought about the Smiley Faced Killers. (See Serial Killer Team Drowning Victims Across The Country thread). Anyways, I've always like their news since I was a child. They've broken a number of stories into the "front row" because of some of their investigative reports.

I personally think that is most cases, reporters should not be held liable to provide some of this information. But then again, no one would believe me, right?
