Though Ron Paul stopped short of telling supporters in Texas Thursday night that he was quitting, his campaign website posted a statement overnight
that he is indeed packing it in. "It is time now to take the energy this campaign has awakened and channel it into long-term efforts to take back our
country," Paul said.)
True, Paul's old website carries an obviously counterfeit message claiming Paul is ending his presidential campaign. But that site has clearly been
hijacked by neocons and other dastardly demons determined to undermine libertarian unity, to confuse Paul's 1,400 meet-up groups and to build that
somehow subversive highway across Texas that could maybe undermine American sovereignty like a sinkhole and cause Canada to take over all 50
states.
latimesblogs.latimes.com...
Ron Paul IS still in the Presidental race.
Paul has not drop out they are lieing.
Dont give up yet!

Dude, I don't have a Ron Paul thread. I think you have me confused with someone else.
I did start to post here, concerning two threads on the subject, but upon reviewing the fact that they were in separate forums, erased my post.

I don't understand.. where does it state that his presidential campaign didn't end?
If you look at the blog on the new website it states that he has ended the campaign... but he did that to focus on his new organization.

Did you take the time to read the new page? I quote "With the primary season now over, the presidential campaign is at an end. " He's out of the
race. This is a new campaign to inform the people, not a run for the Presidency.

If Paul was really quitting, why would he also announce a parallel gathering of the Paul gang -- possibly 11,000 strong if they fill the Williams
Arena in Minneapolis on Sept. 2 during the Republican convention across the Mississippi River?

Um...you leave me wondering if you even read the page you posted. I read the entire thing. It's gotta be those evil decepticons...erm, I mean
neocons! They're editing Ron Paul's webpages!!
With the primary season now over, the presidential campaign is at an end. But the larger campaign for freedom is just getting started. Therefore,
I am happy to announce the official launch of the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty.
The work of the Campaign for Liberty will take many forms. We will educate our fellow Americans in freedom, sound money, non-interventionism, and
free markets. We’ll have our own commentaries and videos on the news of the day. I’ll work with friends I respect to design materials for
homeschoolers.
Politically, we’ll expand the great work of our precinct leader program. We’ll make our presence felt at every level of government, where just a
few people with our level of enthusiasm can make a world of difference. We’ll keep an eye on Congress and lobby against legislation that threatens
us. We’ll identify and support political candidates who champion our great ideas against the empty suits the party establishments offer the
public.

I think that means he's going to focus his attentions on raising more public awareness, trying to get the people more activatly involved. He may be
out of the presidendal race, but that doesn't mean he's just going to stop fighting for what he belives in... I don't know much about Ron Paul,
just that I like a lot of what he says... but this may sound cliche but what if he has more power not being president than if he was? I belive that if
your president you don't have all the power to change things than if you are organizing the people and fighting in congress, etc.

It still would've been nice to have him as an option. I'm one of those who heckled the Ron Paul supporters months back, but honestly I'd vote for
him over the two jokers that are running. McCain is going to bankrupt our nation with the war. Obama is going to bankrupt our nation with socialist
programs. I'm shouting out a big, loud "NO THANKS" to both of them.
