It may be on your property but that doesnt mean you should make it unsafe. Lawsuit waiting to happen. And if you try putting a fake bomb like you said then be prepared to have the bomb squad take over the neighborhood when the garbagemen find it!

Im sorry mate but I don't believe you for some reason, mainly because you responded to peoples previous posts repeating what they said i.e. someone said you could try leaving messages to try and deter the "culprit" and someone else suggested leaving something vile in your rubbish & lo and behold you replied saying you have already done that! You didn't mention that in your first post though did you? Seriously, if I heard a noise outside my house and it sounded like someone was going through my waste bin, I (like 90% of people) would go outside and confront the person/animal/etc, at least I would go out to investigate. Does anyone on this forum actually believe that someone would sit inside and watch/hear someone going through their rubbish??? I doubt it!!! If you are being serious then I suggest the next time you hear/see this, you go outside and find out whats happening. The reasons people have mentioned are valid, but I don't believe this is a geniune post. Death_Kron

Where I used to live, I'd sometimes tell the neighbors (in the nicest way possible) " You ought to do this in the afternoons, cause, I know you're finding all this cool stuff (boomboxes with knife holes in the speakers, tiny fragments of scrap metal, broken mirrors, old shower curtains, teddy bears with one ear chewed off, I better stop this list now) but if the cops should accidentally drive by for some other reason and see you here at three AM leaping around in the dumpster here next to all your cool stuff...TRUST ME...the cops are going to suspect that somehow methamphetamine may be involved...You don't want that...Trust me, it's a bust."
Tweakers might try to steal your identity from papers but more likely they'd just jackdaw up on something shiny, like an old blender they could fancy they could turn into a snowblower...

The courts have ruled that garbage is not entitled to privacy protections, and COP's may rummage thru your trash to look for signs of a crime. If I were you I would stop with the porn and syringes, as that might well land you in some hot water if it is indeed the cop's doing it.

Once you deposit your trash outside your home for pickup, you have given up any expectations of privacy. Many cases have been built against people because the cop's found some tidbits of contraband in the trash and gotten a warrant.Sick, yes...that we live in a police state and can expect our trash to be rifled thru so some cop can bust someone for doing nothing morally wrong in the privacy of their own homes...what a sick nation we have become.

The Brit's, and no one loves them more than I do, have given up and roilled over...cameras all over...repressive laws and cop's that are given powers that stagger the mind and technology that intrudes to the enth degree..Britain and to only a slightly lesser extent, Australia, have become the nations that show us Americans what is coming here, and soon:

The poison is at the top...recall Romania a few decades ago? I do..and I recall that a dictator named Ceaucescu was dragged out and executed along with his cronies and the people there were free....and things have gotten better there since. Wait somewhere in the shadows one night, close to the trash can and wait for the culprit. Arm yourself with a paintball gun. If it happens to be a person, then shoot paintballs mercilessly until he or she happens to fall over, then begin interrogation. Ask who they work for, why they are going through your trash, etc.

But on the other hand, I don't think I believe this story. No reasonable person would go through your trash, every single night, especially after being alerted of your malcontent over their investigations of your refuse.

If you aren't someone worth investigating, then drugs are/or schizophrenia are likely involved (on their part), in which case the messages that you have left on pieces of obscene pornography were probably salvaged and given special metaphorical meaning by the perpetrator.

But again, the story just sounds kind of fishy to me.

I've had this happen to me once. Our wheelie bins are emptied on a Thursday morning so you can imagine my surprise when I went to place another bag in it only to find scores of full to the brim bins and my empty one!
If you're on benefits or currently sueing someone for damages or personal injury then I would put money on your midnight bin dipper being an investigator hired by the defence who is trying to dig up incriminating evidence against you.
