Here's several failed amendments that I found interesting. I especially like the one dealing with acts of war..


  • The Senate shall be abolished (1876).
  • No United States citizen shall accept a foreign title of nobility (1910).
  • All acts of war shall be put to a national vote. All those affirming (voting Yes) shall be registered as a volunteer for service in the United States Armed Forces (1916).
  • The nation shall hereafter be known as the United States of Earth (1893).

    Out of curiosity, where did you find these?

    I wonder how many rich Halliburton execs would vote 'yes' for war if THEY were the ones going out to fight it?
