there was a movie in the 70's or 80's that had a guy going off about how bad tv was for us and how its used to dumb us down and whatnot....anyone remember or know of this movie or show?

i searched google for a couple hours and here for a bit with no luck.

I believe the movie you are talking about is Network. It is amazing!

Yeah I was going to say Network. But would toss in Videodrome, Tapeheads and UHF just for good measure.
