A little dirt digging, water it for a while and someone can sling some mud.

Perhaps the title of this thread should read - "shocking, presidential canidate shows evidence of having an open mind" .
If this is what it's come to we're all freaking doomed

Mandm, are you a paid Obama troll?
So, now you're trying to get us believe he is in into Hinduism and not radical Islam. BS.
He is trying to get people thinking he is not Muslim because that is bringing down his numbers in the Polls.

I'm not crazy about the man, but this is kind of ridiculous.
I carry stuff people gave me for luck in my pocketbook, silly things, some not so silly. People say here, carry this for luck, i will.
There's nothing weird or bizarre about it. He's not worshipping any of these things...he's just carrying them because so far they have indeed
brouht him good luck...is he supposed to throw them away now?
What are they doing now going thru the candidates pockets?
How silly this whole thing has become.
I wonder what we'd find in Cheney's or Bush's pockets? Hmmm?

Shocking picture ? there's nothing shocking about it.
More like another blatant pathetic attempt to discredit Obama, the establishment must truly fear him to resort to such ridiculous means...
I think American just hit another new low, just when you thought it couldn't sink any lower...

Obama is clearly violating the Second Commandment. Western civilization is founded on Judeo-Christian ethics, not Hindu ethics. This action of
carrying an idol with him at all times is an abomination against the Lord, and our Christian and Jewish heritage.
If he carried any symbol of Judaism, Christianity (or any religion) he would also be breaking the Second Commandment. The lines you wrote and put in
bold by me clearly state that no symbol making of any type is wanted by "God" to me that also would seem to include the Cross, the Star of David
anything that symbolises anything that as, will or is in existence including signs of religious beliefs or acceptance of religious figures. Notice how
you and other advocates of Second Commandment totally ignored the fact he carried another Idol with him, that Madonna with Child...

Hey doesn't the bible also say something to the effect of " thou shalt not judge for ye shall be judged". That is the one thing that I personally
feel alot of christians seem to glance over. Also would a christian cross be considered a false idol seeing as it is not a literal image of "god"
but a symbol of Jesus' death.
Does anyone see where this is going?

Wow, I never knew america was so broadly right wing religious! So the man has to be faithful to Christianity only to be considered a good
candidate.
On the flip side, I guess thats why Bush got into power a second time. All is well as long as you go to church and not a temple!
Wow!

The religious injunction is only meaningful if he's treating it as an object of religious veneration - not a simple good luck charm.
I think it's fairly clear he's not a closet Hindu.
AFAIK John McCain carries a bunch of good luck charms too - if he has a lucky rabbit's foot is that a sign that he worships the Easter Bunny as a
pagan god?!?

He believes in the idol by using it as a lucky charm or idol. That is, Obama believes that the Hindu idol carries some kind of magical or
superstitious power. If that is in fact true, then he is not relying on God, but puts his faith in an idol.
Obama possesses the idol - That is, the idol is in his possession as he carries it in his pocket.
Both of the above are strictly forbidden according to the commentary on the Second Commandment as noted in the earlier post.
There is debate in Christian and Jewish circles regarding the use of the Cross, and statues in Catholic churches. Wikipedia has several good articles
explaining the various positions of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc. regarding idolatry. I don't deny that there is debate regarding idolatry, its
definition, and interpretation among the various religions of the world.
However, this is a sideline to the real issue at hand which is Obama's idolatry in the form of a Hindu idol that he carries on his person.
I am not passing judgment - to each his own. He'll have to answer to the great Lord above in his own good time. I am simply stating facts from an
orthodox Jewish and Christian perspective. Hopefully, this will help to explain why the controversy exists to those posters that wonder "what the
big deal is". The "big deal" is that Obama's idolatrous behaviour is an affront to most orthodox Christians and Jews.
At least you now know who you're voting for. As every day goes by, you learn more and more about how creepy this character is.

OMG DON'T YOU SEE!
Obama has a CHARM BRACELET, he's obviously GAY!
...
I swear, it looks to me like all these closeted racists are coming out of the woodwork and picking the smallest BS to make noise about since they
can't just stand up and call him a n... get over it.

Yup, and now they can post anonymously too. Anything to pull the man down, eh? But they know Obama is better than any 100 republicans combined save
Ron Paul.

The charms are just a diversionary tactic to further try and squelch the fact that he is Radical Muslim.
Don't believe everything you see and read, espcially on Obama's site. He has full control of the info.
He doesn't carry these trinkets. He just wants you to think why would he carry those if he was Muslim? He doesn't.

Just repeating your unfunded unsupported claims doens't make them true you know...
I'm so tired of seeing thread after thread filled with nonsense and fear mongering.
Since making wild assuptions not backed up with any evidence is encouraged here i'll make this statement:
JExnet and the likes (Jamie83, and the others , you know who you are)
are all payed to post thread after thread filled with fantasies, ridiculous claims and fearmongering.
It must be true, cause i just posted it.

Wow. I'm really glad I don't try to keep up with every nuance of US politics.
So, is Obama:
1. Socialist/communist?
2. Muslim?
3. African empire builder?
4. Hindu?
5. All-round evil bad guy?
6. Black?
Talk about confusing

Yes, it's been established that among the trinkets Obama has received from supporters, one happens to be Hindu.
What should we make of this? Absolutely nothing.
In fact, I'm willing to be that you carry some form of currency in your pocket that features prominent Masonic symbols on it. Does that make you a
Mason or Illuminati? Of course not.
You are accomplishing absolutely nothing with this nonsense.
