medicinals and herbal practices have been around for such a long time, and are better for you. No side effects.

I'd agree that the practice of medice is good... it's just that medicine is bad.

Despite another ATS forum making scary remarks about microwave ovens, I do think that has been a fairly useful piece of technology... And if not totally necessary, at least very convenient one.

About medical science, I'd say antibiotics, immediately followed by antiseptics and aseptics. The most likely reasons to increase the life expectancy during the last century or so.
