Birds flapping to "Conquest of Paradise" by Vangelis will not get you far on ATS. Should have used Alpha by him. Would have brought back some nostalgic memories of Cosmos by Carl Sagan.

Oh well! Can't have everything you desire.

Not a single person has given a logical explanation as to how in the world these objects can be birds or bats or whatever. I have given my theory over and over. Some ppl just take for granted ufos don't exist and for those ppl words nor images won't matter.

OK, let me try. The question is, will you listen? Are you willing to accept an explanation?

Please don't dismiss me as a close-minded "debunker". I have seen a UFO myself, you could call me a believer. However, while I am certain that there been a few genuine UFO events, most UFO sightings can be explained.

I watched the first three videos on your Vimeo profile, in my opinion they can all be explained. Before posting your videos on the internet, perhaps it would have been best to familiarize yourself with your video camera - learn what it is capable of.

Take the third video for example, where the "UFO" becomes "transparent".
In fact, it doesn't. What you're seeing here is simply the image going in and out of focus.

Why? Because there's nothing solid to focus on - only a few wispy clouds. It is constantly trying to focus, but it can't. When the bird comes into the frame the camera focuses on it but soon loses focus - causing it to seemingly dissapear. In reality it was there all along, the camera just couldn't see it most of the time. The "UFO" does not fade out, it is actually blurred out by the camera.

Fortunately, there's a solution. Set up your camera as before, but instead of using auto focus use manual focus. Set it to infinite - this will ensure that all the objects in the distance are in focus. It should also act as a filter blurring out any nearby objects, such as bugs.

The crucial thing is - if this video is out of focus, and you never noticed, what does it say about your other videos?

You might be correct, it is on autofocus on that scene. That was one of the first clips I filmed. It turns transparant but this might be due to out of focus I guess. The movement is still unexplainable though, a bird can definately not move like this and turn that fast.

The rest of vids are in manual focus indefinate zoom, high shutter speed.
Thanks for the analysis. Check out my new vid aswell. Cheers

hahaha the "Real Spinning Ufos" video is nothing but a BIRD. A BIRD, you hear that maxsightings !?!?! It's not spinning and it's not a UFO unless you know nothing about birds existence.

Why are you so adamant that there are no birds or bugs or anything other than advanced alien craft ? Because then you get the credit of being a guy who filmed ufos with an HD camera !! Thats why!!

This is all some sort of an attempt at gathering a flock. Or becoming a part of it. And by flock I do NOT mean a flock of sheeple. I just mean that perhaps he (guy who thinks birds are ufos) wishes to dupe us in order to feel that he is better than most if not all the people on these boards.

Oh and I shall also try and film far away birds and slow them down until they appear to be wingless craft navigating Earth and taking our women-folk !!!

So my opinion (along with most here) is that these videos are nothing but an attempt to make fools of people by means of out of focus flying objects or OOFFO's for short.

Thank you for the inconvenience, please come and try again soon. As I am sure you will.

Did you watch the 'real speed' sequence. From your comment I take it you did not. Try again

I appreciate you have a skeptic view of things that are unfamiliar to you. But you are completely out on a big ocean with no land in sight on this one. They are clearly not birds for apparant reasons which I've mentioned more than once in this thread. Please give a theory why they MUST be birds, as seem to incredibly enough believe. I'm not expecting much, but I'm all ears.

It's faulty logic to assume that because you're unable to explain something it must be of a supernatural origin. Distance is a very tricky thing. Most of the "objects" you "captured" (I wouldn't put simple post production effects out of the question yet) are very close to the camera but very tiny. This gives the illusion of a seemingly large object being further away. Also, if an object appears to go behind an object that's clearly in the distance that does not necessarily mean the object is truly behind said object. Extend your hand out towards the sun and put your index finger directly in front of the sun. The middle of your finger will blend in giving the impression that your finger is indeed behind the sun. This works with any out of focus object and with cameras it gets even trickier to filter out these unwanted occurrences.

Yes you have a point. For instanse the vid "turns 180 instantly" I thought that object went behind the building at the start of sequence but it actually goes infront, you can see a tiny reflection in the window which I missed. However it seems to travel behind the blue net at end of sequence. Its a tricky thing to judge distance with these fast moving objects. I believe some of the objects are rather small.

No.. look again at 13-14 sec into the clip.. there apears another "object" that is following the first "object".

I see it when I pause the vid. I don't see the second "object" following the first after it makes a turn.

Editted to add....

When I say I pause it.. I meant that I pause, then play it and quickly pause it so I get still frames in a play by play format. Some of those stills shows "two" objects, one following the other. Or is the "object" skipping?

Not sure if its due to the video footage or there are two "objects"?

Oh my god you're still doing it!!!!

The reason you cannot see the wings flap in the normal speed is because it is a small bird and its wing flaps are very fast. You can CLEARLY see the wings flap in the slow motion footage. This is what slow motion is for. To debunk silly bird videos like yours. If you can see the flapping wings in the slow motion then they are happening in the normal speed version, just that you cannot make them out.

This thread should be closed. This guy is clearly out to hoax us or force us to believe what he has filmed is not birds. He has even claimed that some should "lay off the crack" because they disagree with his assumptions on what these objects are.

So YES I DID VIEW THE NORMAL SPEED VERSION AND BY USING LOGIC I CAN DETERMINE THAT THE WING FLAPPING WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN THE SLOW MOTION SEGMENT IS STILL APPARENT DURING THE NORMAL SPEED SEGMENT. IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FREQUENCY OF THE WINGFLAPS AND HOW MANY FRAMES PER SECOND THE CAMERA RECORDS.

So please stop attempting to make everyone here seem like the bad guy when in fact you are the one who is attempting to mislead us.

I disagree. Birds can move at a high speed and can make pretty sharp turns.
The closer they are to the camera, the more accented and unusual their maneuvers appear to become.

If the image is out of focus, which you admitted it was, the wings and body become a non-descript blob and it's hard to make out exactly what is happening.

Watch this video: www.youtube.com...
Around the 17 second mark, the bird makes a sharp turn and dives towards the water. It's a big bird too - imagine what a smaller, more agile bird could pull off. Birds can move like that.

I have just watched your latest video, where the objects "dance". Yes, in this case I think you are right - these are not birds - they pause in mid-air and shoot off in another direction. They are insects! I have seen the same thing myself many times on a hot day.

The rest of vids are in manual focus indefinate zoom, high shutter speed.

You said that all your other videos were taken using "manual focus" with an "indefinate zoom". I feel this proves my point - if the objects (which you claim are dancing) are in the distance they would be clear and in focus (because you used infinite focus). They are not in focus however which can only mean they are close to the camera.

Your videos do not contain any evidence of UFOs. Plain and simple. Everyone that has come into this thread has told you their opinions of your videos and you choose not to listen. It looks to me as if your looking for someone to come into this thread and say, "Hey! Great job! Way to capture all these UFOs. We've been doing it all wrong for a hundred years! Lets get you working at NASA!" Wrong. You have failed to prove your point here as EVERYONE in the thread has noted. I don't think you are trying to misinform or spread disinfo, as I think you believe you have genuine UFO footage. But you don't.
You should take yourself off of your pedestal and realize that you too can be wrong sometimes. You continuing to fire back at everyone who disagrees with you only makes your credibility look even worse. And somehow I know you will fire back at me for trying to give you constructive criticism....hmmmm...how do I know you will do that?

I for one am getting tired of this thread because its the same argument going back and forth now. When everyone is telling you the same thing, maybe the problem doesn't lie with them, maybe it lies with you. I personally think you should go ahead and hang up these videos and not waste anymore of our time until you get something solid. Thats what I would do...because your continuation of your defense of these ignorant videos only makes you look like a hoaxer. So put your ego aside and really view your videos for what they are.

I mean, what exactly are you looking for here? You posted your videos for analysis and thats what we're all doing but you continue to argue. What are you arguing? If you want people to blindly believe you without question maybe you should go elsewhere with these fake videos. I am done in this thread though. I think myself and everyone else here has stated their points thoroughly.

Remember people...if you ignore the bad thread it will sink to the bottom and wither away forever.

To give an example of what distance and focus can do to present a false reality:

I'm an amateur astronomer and I frequently go out to gaze at the moon. When the moon isn't completely in focus there are times where I see a tiny object enter my field of view and then vanish behind the moon. What I'm seeing should lead me to believe that I've just witnessed a huge object pass behind the moon.

For example:

www.youtube.com...

Note: the moon is terribly out of focus but you can easily see what can happen.

www.youtube.com...

Pay attention to 0:08 - 0:15.

Note: the rest of the video is a mixture of fakes and real captures that can be explained as mundane phenomena.

Anyways, I hope that helps to illustrate what a nasty illusion distance and focus can produce.

The real speed on this one looks as thought it's fast forwarded? Which will give the impression of things moving much faster then in "real" mode.

lol 2 ufos dancing.

It is either - 2 flies. One of which is attempting to mate with the other.
- 2 birds. One of which seems intent on attacking or chasing the other away.

Way to go max, you either got some boring bird chasing bird or you got some fly porn on video!!!

You obviously took offense from my response to your comment made earlier in this thread. I can't blaim you because I totally crushed your closed minded approach where you CLAIMED that the ufos couldn't be ufos and stuff like that. Again you simply can not say this is the case if you don't want to shut off real possibilities.

I have not animated anything and the explanations I give are solid and logic. I have barely heard any logic reasoning as to why the objects MUST be birds or bats or bugs or dust or whatever you might have as a default dubunk line.

You have still failed to give a logical explanation as to why you believe what you believe. You simply say it is so and so. Like you know it all. Now thats what I call ego. Atleast I can explain how I think so other ppl can understand my point of veiw.

And don't mix ego with stading up for yourself and what you honestly believe in. You are sinking to the bottom and you are too deep to reach the surface at this point. You think you can but you just don't know it yet. Perhaps one day you will. Until then bye bye from this thread.

Nothing I have posted is a lie. NOTHING. And ppl accuse me of animating stuff. Now how is that EVERYBODY thinks the objects are just birds or whatever. In your little mind everyone might think like you, but I know ppl have watched the vids and smell somethings fishy about them. How could you not. They move too fast etc etc...

Last time I checked birds/insects don't have a shape as a SQUARE, watch carefully at firs zoomin, you will see a faint square tilted 90 degrees. In full HD it is quite easy to see however conversion makes it harder. (birds can not move that fast, insects arent that big nor visible moving behind a tree or building nor are they large and blurry as they move far away)
