All rioters must remember who the enemy is. The enemy is big oil.

Who owns "big oil"? State Pension Funds, Union Pension Funds, 401K's

The real enemies are the politicians who blame others for the effects of their own misguided policies. For instance, here in Florida, practically every politician has worked to prevent off-shore drilling for fear of oil spills ruining tourism. This is a false fear. There were over 100 oil rigs damaged by Katrina, yet no oil spills ("Big oil" does everything to avoid spilling profits into the ocean.).

But China and Cuba are drilling 60 miles off the coast of Florida. Evil communist countries can drill 60 miles off of Florida and no one protests. Something is fishy here!

I don't see it going down that way. What I see is Obama winning the election and maybe not winning without the men behind the curtain fixing it so he wins but winning all th same. Think about NSPD51, if the men behind the curtain make sure Obama is elected, then they assasinate him and his running mate Bush/Cheney will have their reason for putting the country under marshal law because there will be mass riots that our police and military will not be able to control. So they bring in the UN army, I have read and I believe it was Rockefeller who said it, "they will be happy to see the UN troops in their cities to quell the chaos and violence". Now in Freedom to Fascism Nichols Rockefeller new 11 mos. in advance of 9/11 that an event was going to happen to take us into Afghanistan and Iraq. So what does that family know now. Even if they put one of there elite's as his running mate they can still achieve this same ends

This is the first time that the black community has had a chance of putting an African American into office. They are not going to like losing when they were that close.

That's an interesting thought. It will only take a handful of angry people to start it and then you might have the hundreth monkey syndrome come into affect. I sure hope it doesn't happen, but I can see how it could.

Kudos, kudos, and a thousand more for your statement! My Great-Great Grandfather died while fighting for the North and when my 12 year old daughter looks at me and says "Mom, why do so many black people hate us?", I just look at her with a depressed sigh and say "I don't know honey, just remember to love everyone.". I am personally sick and tired of reverse racism!!!!

If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union... Wiki

The Civil War was NOT about freeing the slaves.

The blacks that fought for the North were still treated as sub-human which is a view Lincoln himself had expressed to hold about Africans in general.

Slavery also continued after the civil war just not officially.
Anyone know what a peon was in America? Hell...slavery is thriving alive and well in the world in general.

Guys...do some research and stop this pity party.

We've seen riots come and go and there is no proof that there will be one if McCain is President.

Oh and riots (large and small) are universal.

Like when sports games go a certain way in cities and we see white rioters turning over cars and setting them ablaze and smashing stores to pieces. Like if a rock concert is canceled...I've seen that people can tear up the area.

I am amazed at the recent influx of divisive bigots to this site and how quick they are to jump in and back each other up on the threads they create.

I see that the agenda is clear.

I think most of you are making Obama out to be more than he really is.
Or you fear he may be what he says. Always comes down to fear.

The use of they and them is an innocent way of referring to any group that you are not a part of. Those who bring those pronouns in to question are imo more of the cause of racism than the op.

They and them in this situation refers to rioters. Why do we have to be so politically correct, so much so that I can't get through the smoke and mirrors that many smart usually reliable posters have placed here.

Another point hardly ever brought up is that not ONLY Africans where slaves here. Its either Charleston or Greenville that still has the old slave market building in the town square. Many poor whites in those records that still exist where sold into" indentured servatude" as it was called. It was almost impossible to buy your way out of it either. Just another randon thought. Should we pay reparations to the relatives of the white slaves also???

That is a shame too. When people are scared to act freely because of one groups actions. Isn't that taking away from our democracy. But, I feel that they will not care about if they will riot or not in the election in November. Maybe thats what all of those supposed camps that everyone is talking about are for.

Thats why I miss the OLD AMERICA!!:-( Thats why every Vote Counts. I lost interest in this Elections Junk a long time ago. Im really tired of the Talk. This Country Needs Progress!!!

There might be a sudden twist out of this election that won't be expected, Clinton will probably win. Lets not forget she was spotted hanging out with the Bilderberg group. There is powerful people behind them doors and lots of money to back whatever plan they have.

Most of the Democrats don't consider China or Cuba to be evil, threatening, or even enemies. In fact, many of Obama's proposed policies seem to be inspired by the same Communist line of thought.

Both parties in Congress are letting irrational environmentalist nuts dictate our energy policy, which is preventing the oil companies from drilling for oil and lowering our gas prices while promoting American independence from foreign energy. Meanwhile, the United States is by far one of the most environmentally-friendly industrialized nations on the planet.

www.cnn.com...

Apparently you didn't bother to read the areticle past the first two paragraphs; otherwise, you would have surely noticed this:

After seeing the story I was stunned to read such a thing, and immediately sought the transcript of Obama's speech. In reading it, Obama used the word riot nine times; the phrase "quiet riot" three times; and never suggested that America was on the verge of seeing African-Americans lash out like they did during the Los Angeles riots in 1992.

But what he did try to do was give the 8,000 attendees, and anyone else watching, an understanding of what is a real problem in America's inner cities. And more importantly, his blueprint for fixing the problem.
CNN

So much for informed and reasoned debate.

Wow.. it is amazing how dumb people are.

They are illiterate.. and can barely comprehend two paragraphs of information...

YET.. They think they are some sort of authority...when they are too stupid to even vote.

Idiocracy is here now~!!!

How often over the last 8 years can someone be so dead #ing WRONG over and over again .... Look at the smoldering ruins the nation is in... and think you still have a leg to stand on?

Actually....the fact that Obama's campaign is being financed by some of the same corporate sponsors for Bush Jr's campaign speaks volumes. My bet is that Obama will take this election. People support Obama because he promises to get out of Iraq and promises more government handouts...which we all know many Americans love.... which also compliments their lack for fiscal responsibility.

John McCain is hardly a typical Republican. In fact, I'd say he has been closer to being a moderate Democrat than the radical socialist Obama has been.

What a spin slide of stupid rhetoric..

McBush has voted with Bush over 90% of the time..

Radical socialist??? Really... lol

You don't even know what socialist is.. much more then you know its a "bad" word that bobble head idiots toss at you to react to with a huff of indignation...

Go learn what that word means.. then find some evidence of this with Obama...

While your at that .. try looking up the word Fascist.. and the 14 points of Fascism on the google..

Then connect some more dots.

I have to wonder why, when the Republicans are in trouble, two impossible Democratic candidates are offered up.
I don't know enough about Obama, Clinton had too much baggage but I'm sick of Republican governance. Hold your nose time.
