Hillary Clinton is to blame for her loss. Not sexism, the media or Obama.
Hillary came into this contest 20 points ahead. She had name recognition, Bill Clinton, money, half of the black vote and more.
The reason that she lost is because she kept Mark Penn too long and kept following his stupid strategy.
Obama was giving uplifting speeches and talking about change and Hillary was reading her resume and talking about experience.
Begala and Carville were complaining about Mark Penn. When she changed her strategy she started to do better but it was too late.
In the end, this loss is Hillary's fault for following a bad strategy and changing too late.
The Clintons always play the victim. They came into the game 20 points ahead and they had all the advantages. They blew it with a bad strategy.

very true
The Clinton Campain ran a terrible campain... but ALOT of people didn't like the clintons, and no one knew who Obama was...
In Practical terms, people ussaly go with the unknow, rather then the proven bad...

personally, I think Clinton would have sunk if she'd been up against anyone, but the media did play a large part in this one. They played up Obama so much they created a sensation (they reported on the sensation, the sensation grew, so they reported on it some more). That combined with the ignorant masses willingness to follow Obama because he speaks well (on a prompter at least) was the real stake in Clinton's campaign.

Actually, it's not so much that Hillary lost, but that she couldn't increase her support while Obama kept climbing. Here's a
Wall Street Journal
graph tracking their poll numbers through May:
While Hillary's numbers fluctuated, and she lost some ground since the fall when she was "inEvitable", her numbers were pretty steady throughout the debate season. Obama, of course, seems to have won over the other candidates' supporters and the undecideds.

Democrats usually fall for media hype. The media hyped Obama, and they didn't hype Hillary. Plain and simple.
Remember the fake fainting spells at the early Obama rallys? The media fell for it hook, line, and sinker, passed it on to the American people, and it was smooth sailing from then on. Even when Hillary was trying to make her comeback with huge victories in big battleground states, the media always played her victories down, even encouraging her to quit, when at the time she was clearly in the race.
The media fell for Obama, and they wanted to make sure everyone else did too.
