That I can't answer. But from that documentary, I do know Max isn't exactly the law abiding guy who only does things girls are willing to do.

The "age 21" disclaimer is to cover themselves in places where the law requires that you be 21 to view such material. If it is legal to watch at 18 in your town, you are not bound to acknowledge the disclaimer.

But if they said 18 on the video, and you had to be 21 in your state, the porn company and everyone along the way could get sued.

Here in NY State, the age of consent happens to be 17 ever since a State Senator got caught banging a seventeen year-old and the law was passed retroactively.

The guy is a dirtbag and he needs to step up and serve his time since a jury has found him guilty. Instead of whining about free speech.

That being said, He was charged originally for child pornography even though the state KNEW the girl was at least 18 and legal. How they got away with that one I can only guess. And the FBI ransacks his porn company because of, as the wikipedia article states, "research". PLEASE!!! If any argument could be made on his part, they are these 2.

Instead, he screams free speech impingement from the morality squad. He had some valid points he could have made in court, but they wanted this guy bad from the very beginning. I mean comon.. The state of California charges him for breaking a law they know from the very beginning he didn't break? How does that make sense?

the majority of posts seem to be from those who probably have not ever been around the porn industry, probably never been on set, or probably never knew anyone who worked in porn

i was a film student in southern california just a year ago, i know people in the porn industry, i've been on sets, I've known girls involved and I even breifly dated one.

this industry isnt a bunch of little angels running around with halo's on their heads

the majority of those in charge ARE predators and todays society has turned EVERY single young girl who is even remotely attractive, and SEVERAL who arent into potential victims. i cant name a single girl ive ever met who wouldnt do porn if they had to.

A lot of girls have several issues and problems to begin with, already have history of physical and or drug abuse

dont get me wrong not every one in the porn industry are bad people not all have been abused not all are crazy with severe psycological issues but alot are, and that makes it all too easy for people like him to victimize.

i bet half those girls were really raped, they just needed the money and/or already signed the contract so thats why they havent gone against him

maybe the law went about taking him down the wrong way, but he deserved to be taken down

porn should be more regulated and professional there are many very professional companys out there vivid to name one

and those people who make such a strong argument about older actress's being legal to look younger...yea ok fine you win that one, but do u disagree with the theory of desensativity? over time that becomes acceptable and the status quo just gets worse and worse until there are little girls being raped and pedophilia is rampant... many people defend guys like this, but i gaurentee if it was your daughter or mother or sister that was victimized by him you'd either be using the full extent of the law, or you'd kill sickos like that yourself

im not gonna say im for or against porn, but I AM against the lives it destroys and people that are victimized by creatures like max hardcore

Sorry, but I just don't believe you. You are either A.) lying to promote your agenda or B.) grossly confused. The porn industry is HUGE and making comments like the "majority" of those in charge are "predators" clearly shows your bias on this issue. Maybe your girlfriend got "tricked" into doing anal with 6 guys but that doesn't make every (or even most) porn actresses a clueless, drugged out, abused mental case.

For anyone who is really interested in what goes on behind-the-scenes in the porn industry, do a little googling and you'll discover it's not as sensationalized as some make it out to be.

The anti-porn movement isn't about crime, or "the children," or those poor exploited actresses. For the religious Right, it's about sex: sex for pleasure, sex for money, sex as a way of exploring the world or affirming your personhood. And they want it stopped.

What's really interesting here is that NO ONE has mentioned why this is happening now. The Bush administration started a "war on pornography" and the entire industry has been on it's toes for the past 8 years. It's not surprising that with the exit door in sight, the current regime is rounding up whoever they can to justify all the expense they've made using our tax dollars.

Two points here. 1, why would you be against porn yet date a porn actress? Are you afraid to admit you like porn? Just admit you are for it and stop lying to yourself. 2, if Max Hardcore is a "creature" does that mean those who enjoy his flicks are also "creatures?"

Sometimes I'm in the mood for a little Max Hardcore school-girl domination. So what? I don't have a problem with it and if you do, that's your problem. Don't watch it.

I think 2 girls 1 cup is obscene and disgusting but do I think we need to put the filmmakers in jail and ban those sort of "scat" movies for those who enjoy it? Absolutely not. Like an adult, I simply chose not to watch.

The porn industry can be pretty bad, and Max is certainly towrad the top of the list of scumbags. But that is not the issue here. The real issue is that porn is a hot-button issue, so it's easiest to start tearing down our rights there. What did he do that was actually illegal? Clearly illegal that is.

Yes, if they had to. So then, is it the fault of the porn industry that society allows women to fall into such dire straits that they are willing to be subjected to such abuses and violations?

I know plenty of women who stay in abusive relationships because they need a place to live, and working 60 hours at a burger joint doesn't pay the rent.

maybe the law went about taking him down the wrong way, but he deserved to be taken down

It is your own opinion that he needed to be taken down. What if it becomes someone's opinion that you need to be taken down for being a film student? Wether he deserved it or not is irrelevant. There are those that could make the same argument you have here, about Waco, and Ruby Ridge.

porn should be more regulated and professional there are many very professional companys out there vivid to name one

But the fact is that the industry is becoming less professional for various reasons (watch Boogie Nights), though regulation seems to be somewhat unpredictable, with this case as a key example.

and those people who make such a strong argument about older actress's being legal to look younger...yea ok fine you win that one, but do u disagree with the theory of desensativity?

But that is already happening across the board in our society. With language, sex, and violence. Can't blame Max for that.
