Max Hardcore found guilty in obscenity trial

www.tampabay.com...

TAMPA - Producer Max Hardcore was found guilty today of 10 federal counts of distributing obscene materials over the Internet and through the mail. His company Max World Entertainment was also found guilty on 10 related charges.

"It's a sad day for all Americans when they smash any kind of free speech and that's what happened in Tampa today," Max Hardcore told AVN. "They trampled on free speech, and I intend to appeal."

There is something wrong with this world when someone is not allowed to make their living in any way that they please so long as it is legal( as far as I know pornography is legal)

While not everyone agrees with this form of film, there still is something wrong when Florida of all places is telling us what is and isn't obscene

Looks like MH isn’t playing ball with the big boys. I can’t define obscenity, but I know it when I’m not getting my cut.

who cares? Max Hardcore is a sick man. Have you ever seen his stuff? lol

though on topic, who cares about one porn star/producer? Bigger problems in the world worth wasting cyber space on, as if cyber space doesnt have enough porn on it as it is!

Florida has a history of it though. They banned 2 Live Crew, and had Jim Morrison arrested for sticking his thumb through his fly.

Max Hardcore is one sick puppy. He intentionally crosses the line between porn and outright abuse. I think you would have to see his stuff to understand. What he does is beyond porn.

Having said that, I am against censorship. And as long as the participants are willing, then it is none of the government's damn business.

Exactly. I have seen some of max's stuff, and the people in his video's are ready and willing. Like anything in porn is not scripted anyway. I too am against censorship. It limist ones creative juices and also keeps people from expressing themselves completely and the populace from having the ability to decide if something is truly crap or not.

If you've ever seen any of his vids (and alot of people have whether they'll admit it or not) you can tell how jacked up in the head he is. It doesn't help him that he has made all this porn with an outright sick fetish for small chicks dressed up to look like young girls!! People like this usually go unpunished. Shows how much good the ACLU is..

The question is, is it his kink, or does he know that a large ammount of the population likes small chicks dressed to look like small girls and knows that this will make him money? Most people in porn are not doing it to fulfill their own fantasies, but rather for what will make money. That is why male porn stars will do gay porn when they are not gay. They get paid more for gay porn than strait porn.

Well of coarse porn is for profit.. That's the only reason it's everywhere. It's a multi-billion dollar industry. People don't organise companies to sell porn because they have some sick fetish they want the world to see. They organise their operation and sell porn for hard cash!!

The porn wasn't his only mistake.. His real mistake was his behavior online in which he distributed "obscene" material and was found guilty of on 10 counts. They then took a closer look at his company and what the company distributes and then found him guilty on 10 counts of charges related to the company itself.

As he sais..
"It's a sad day for all Americans when they smash any kind of free speech and that's what happened in Tampa today,"
-Max Hardcore

You gotta draw the friggin line somewhere. This free speech argument is the saddest excuse anyone has ever uttered. Legally, maybe it is applicable depending on the circumstances.. But in the real world it's quite easy to distinguish between what is legal and what isn't. He broke the law and a jury made an educated decision based on the evidence presented!

Just because you "fight on" despite being found guilty on 20 counts does not exclude you from being responsible for your actions. I have no pity for this bag of filth..

Just thought of a great news headline..
"Max Hardcore hardcored to the max by Florida jury"

I honestly cannot say im surprised

His videos are pretty much borderline rape

I saw one of his videos on a site that had amusing porn vids, bloopers and the like and he was doing this chick who I am 99% certain was completely wasted either on drink or more likely hard drugs because she was acting like someone with severe mental health issues, talking randomly to nobody in particular making crazed facial expressions etc, I know that doesn't sound unusual for porn lol but seriously the only time I have seen similar behaviour is in a ward for people with sever mental health problems. She didn't seem very lucid to say the least and was more interested in snarling and screaming staring vacantly into the middle distance.

I guess it tells alot about this world when people judge him for being sick and that the videos are almost rape. So what? There's no law against being sick and having freaky fetishes. There's no law against porn that is almost rape. If you dont like it dont watch it, but keep the government out of it.

He wasn't guilty for making porn. He broke the law. Plain and simple. So many companies out there make porn and it's completely legal. There's nothing wrong with running a completely bustling porn company. That isn't the real issue here.

The charges against him and the fact he was found guilty by a jury shows what this guy is all about. Anyone in the porn industry knows what is illegal and what isn't. He chose to take a chance and he got caught!!! If you commit the crime you deserve the consequences, especially if you knew beforehand you could get caught!

He tried to wiggle his way out screaming free speech. Free speech is fine, it's when you break the law you deserve the consequences regardless of what form of free speech you are advocating. That's what he doesn't get and he is unwilling to accept the fact that he's a sicko.

I didn't see it in the article linked here, so could you please tell us exactly what he did that was illegal. So illegal that he will lose millions of dollars and spend decades in prison.

On another note, at least what this guy did was not on mainstream television. I have seen stuff on regular daytime TV that I wouldn't want my kids seeing. Let me give an example of something that actually shocked me to see a few years back.

I think the commercial was on the F/X network, but either way, I caught this commercial running at around suppertime, and later saw that it ran all hours of the day. It was a commercial for some upcoming horrorfest. I think it was Matt Damon in the commercial, with someone else. They were going to be hosting the "festival." The next thing you know there is blood spurting everywhere as one of the actor's head is severed off and thrown into the other guy's lap. Even as an adult, I was shocked and disturbed. I had not expected to see that at all. Now I can only begin to imagine how seeing something like that affects children. So why the double-standard in this country?

First of all you guys need to understand that the Free Speech amendment was never intended to protect porn. The founding fathers would turn over in their graves if they knew that it was being abused this way.

Tell me exactly why it is OK to produce such materials that appeal to the lowest of the low, dark side of the human mind? I find it truly frightening.

Tell me if you would like the whole world to run exactly like that, with you as a part of it? Day after day for your whole life. If you do, I am sure you can find some colony of sick loonies to join. Do you want your children to grow up like that?

There may be no law against being sick, but then sick people are put away and treated for their sickness. This sicko and all like him should be executed. This goes for the blood and gore film makers also.

Yeah, these women likely have to be drugged to get their consent. Kind of like an anesthetic so they can endure just to get paid.

You all are sick to defend such things. They are in direct opposition to all the high and noble goodness that humans can exhibit. What is it with this usually male fetish. Not satisfied with your sex life? Why? Maybe you don't have anything truly worthwhile to do with your mind?

Pretty broad statement there, saying anyone into pronography is twisted and the lowest of the low? Either way, I myself am also waiting to hear what "Obscene" things he did, as it was not listed in the article I posted. Will research more and be back with it if said evidence is available.

While I don't know the specifics of the case, and I'm sure I haven't seen any of what is referred to as 'his' porn (it's a business you know - was the poisonous dog food Walmart sold to pet owner considered their 'property' when they decried the tragic death of all those pets - they weren't liable were they?) I have to say we must at least grant that the jury's decision is what this is all about.

If they found him guilty, then we can only hope they did their civic duty and listened to the evidence presented and duly considered it responsibly.

Free Speech, like habeus corpus is a refuge of both the innocent and the scoundrel, to paraphrase Lincoln. So we have here the reason why jury trials exist. They did their thing. If he can appeal, I'm sure he will (he's got lawyers ya know).

Poor Ol Max...

If you don't like it, don't buy it, and you'll never have to know about it.

It's just not my bag, but I say more power to him.
