Just saw this article that just came out an hour ago while I was googling....
 UFOs hit Romanian plane
BUCHAREST, Romania, June 6 (UPI) -- The Romanian Defense Ministry has confirmed that a fighter plane was struck by four unidentified flying objects
and released a video of the incident.
The ministry said the MIG 21 Lancer fighter plane was struck by the objects during an Oct. 31, 2007, check flight but was able to land safely,
Hotnews.ro reported Friday.
Lt. Col. Nicolae Grigorie said a video recorded by cameras onboard the plane depicts "two solid bodies, which are not translucid." Please visit the link provided for the complete story.
I did a search on ATS and the search came up with no results...anyone hear about this??? Let's try to find the video! I hope it's not another lame
hoax!

Here's a Youtube video showing a newscast, unfortunately in Romanian but it shows damage to the fighter plane. Anyone speak Romanian??

The only thing I can find is the exact same story on several off the beat news wires. No commentary on it, or where the video that was "released"
is.

Yes, the only video I found was the one I posted above with the news clip from a Romanian station apparently, but it shows the damage to the MIG and
an interview with the pilot, which of course is useless to those of us who don't speak the language.

I see the video or report I mean, was November, shortly after the incident.
I wonder why it is making any news now unless they are releasing the video now. But where is the video???

Mig Lancer 21 hit by 4 ufo in Romania
2 solid objects are seen in the video, not translucid, which were filmed by the video camera placed inside the airplane.
The glass near the pilot was broken by one of this objects and wounded the pilot. This glass is organic and at higher altitudes(stratosphere) cannot
be broken unless is hit by a very tough object.
This was a partial translation from this video. The pilot landed safely directed by his wife which was at the radio tower that day.

On 30 October 2007, a MIG-21 Lancer of the Romanian Air Force has escaped through the miracle of collision with some so-called UFO (unidentified
flying objects), random confirmed as the pilot reached the ground well, as well as images carlinga of the plane, run by Realitatea TV. According to
Lt. comandorului Marin Mitrică that the aircraft pilot, during a routine flight, some objects "strange" and had hit carlinga have broken glass
dome, in ricoşând oxygen mask.

made during the flight concerned, the impact lasts no more than 67 milliseconds! Although the risk of crash seemed imminent, the pilot managed to

Scientific explanations - ruled out one after the other

Mystery was to increase along with investigating the case, led by Lt. Nicholas comandorul Grigorie, himself MIG pilot and graduate of the French

causes: the device has not been hit by a bird (in Romania because the birds not to fly at the height of 6,500 meters, and the body of the plane was

freeze) or by a meteorite, because no astronomical data confirms entry of such bodies in the air that day. Then, have been excluded and what the
causes could have been made due to human activities.
There were no civilian flights at any hour that at about 30 km from Gherla, where the unit MIG-21 Lancer, no exercises with artillery cannons or
missiles, no incidents reported to police on missile launching craft or Fireworks and no weapon had not been launched a weather balloon. Data
collected by lt.com. Nicholas Grigorie have been supplemented by a survey of the National Institute of Criminalistică, appreciated that the hardness
of the object that struck the aircraft was greater than the organic glass that was hit.
The object that struck the device was a motion of rotating around its own ax, have a trajectory towards oblică trajectory aircraft, but rejected the
assumption that the analysis had been talking about a projectile. "We can say with certainty what was not, but not what it was - an object that
struck the MIG, but we do not know what material was or origin", declared to us lt.-com. Grigorie, refusing to make any speculation about a possible
"Extraterrestrial origins." Everything we could confirm was that, indeed, during the 67de milliseconds by "unidentified object" in the images are

And on topic, what a case  love the fact that they have released the footage. I was reading an old report about it from november last year and they
said the object was too fast to be seen on the film.

Thanks for translating and for making the still of the object...wow interesting case. I am surprised the Defense Ministry decided to show this

I don't know if there are any Romanian ATS members, but I will look.

It is a small surprise that the Defense Ministry released this video, most governments are usually hushing things up.

I was thinking the same thing, Balez. The US would never fess up to something like this. I think they are afraid that if they ever admitted to an
incident such as this one within our own borders that they would be forced to admit all they know.
