lol the only card that I can think of that isn't for playing are:
1) Index Cards
2) Business Cards
3) Birthday Cards (I'm going with this!!)

I think you're getting the right image, but your verbal interpretation is off.

I did this with my daughter yesterday and the progress followed the same pattern. That's why I wanted to see how the "guesses" progressed.

I'm convinced that there's something akin to a psychic radio dial that people can tune into. From what I've experienced, the original perception is rarely right on, but fuzzy. But as the process progresses, the image is tuned in, getting clearer and clearer.

One more thing...

It's made out of crystal.

When my daughter got it is when she stopped concentrating and the answer just came out of her mouth spontaneously. She wasn't even sure what she said. At first she tried guessing all the things that might have been in my pocket. Then the answer just came out and surprised her so much that she "took it back" because she didn't see how it could have been right.

Oo! Oo! Are you holding a pendant or a necklace of some sort? Oh, puleeze give us another hint! Addendum: I was thinking something with aluminum shavings in it but that thought passed me by rather quickly prior to my, err, freshmen level joke earlier.

some people need to concentrate, some people do it best when they are not concentrating. Im still trying to figure out which method works best for me.

Exactly right!

Now my question is about the process. Do you feel like the image became clearer gradually, or just popped into your head?

With my daughter, she just blurted it out in the middle of guessing coins, keys, a dollar, etc.

To be honest, it was the most clear with my first guess. I only read the first 2 lines of your first post and it came into my head.....from there it was trying to put the pieces together of what I was actually seeing.
I wasn't seeing the entire card just the symbol of a spade.

Edited to add: I kept seeing a brown or black spade....did you have it sitting on a dark surface?
