Why would your picture mess up his work? They were not anything most people figured could be done.

Brilliant!! I don't suppose all of the members who were posting could have a copy of "Marks" thesis?

OK- shoot me for being stupid or saying something already pointed out- wasnt THE SENTINEL the comic that "Mr Glass" was holding in the comic shop when he realized that Bruce Willis's character could have a weakness and still be the "Unbreakable" super hero he had been looking for? In the the scene SLJ is depressed in his wheelchair in a comic shop and he wont leave so the clerk is getting mad, as he is trying to wheel SLJ out he keeps doing stuff to tick off the clerk who finally gets mad and goes to call the cops. SLJ finally spies the comic called "The Sentinel" and picks it up and says, "I'll take this one" like nothing had happened.

Sorry to go on about it but it refers AGAIN to M Knight Shamalan (sp) as you have stated and the banned guy is named thEsEntinEl (or something like that) who is friends with boulderMD...

Some bunch of researcher you people are.

Go to BoulderMDs profile. He has a post count of four. He needs 16 more posts to be able to U2U anyone except staff. He could not have possibly u2Ued this member.

I'm now talking to other mods about what steps are normal for lying about another member, and for trying to find ways to disrupt the board.

Meanwhile, to keep down the confusion this member wants to make on the board, I'll just put him on Global Ignore.

I think that the good people of ATS will be just fine.

What I think is sad, is that the personal information of a Dr. was put in the other thread, as well as the address and phone number of the hospital.

People indicated that they actually made phone calls to the facility to find out if the accident happened, etc.....

Not only was this a waste of our time, but also members of that hospital.

So, all that for a thesis.

I wonder how MD would feel about somebody calling his school and speaking to his professor..........that is, if that story is true?

I did not believe ironman..but is it pssible that BoulderMD holds more than one account? And still there is some concern that a memeber could track an IP address with such ease.

In my opinion, attention getters like ThEsEnTiNeL (I'll go as far to say anyone who types his name in such a juvenile manner) should be swept from these boards.
......

Careful with blanket statements like that, I know I never typed his name out, I looked at it and decided it was a PITA to read so I copy pasted it. I know I have my name typed as such because back in the BBS days I had my name done in ascii characters to prevent people from logging in as me easily, obviously it was password protected as well, but I also did it because I used the alpha symbol for my A's. It's always stuck with me and it really is habit now to type it as such.

Now I'm done with my rant.

The member didn't get that right. He was blowing smoke to confuse things, just like ironman is now. There seems to be a real effort by some folks to cause this to go away, and the harder they try, the sloppier they get.

Oye Vey! I have such a headache now, and all the sudden I am getting hot.

I hope I don't have to go to the emergency room!

If your talking about members trying to make the subject of the thread go away...they did. Why would BoulderMD's thread still be down?...the criminal posts have been deleted and the member banned.

I'm an Administrator and owner of two boards that have to do with the Shooting Sports. We have to IP check every one that registers to keep out all the porn bots from Russia. I would not be surprised that this very problem exists here on ATS. Spammers want email addreses and easy contacts and this is the easyest way! Takes up about an hour a day for each board. I can check any IP that is linked to the boards but its a whole other ball of wax to cold read IPs withou fairly good skills!1

So is this why I cant find Ironman's posts on this thread? It is like a piece if the conversation is missing here somewhere. I am confused- where did this thesis stuff come from?

The thread is still there, or it was the last time I looked. And since Boulder MD has stated to me that he will not be posting again, that thread is no longer any better than this one to discuss things.

If you want to speak to MD, he's as likely to read it hear as anywhere.

He made it up. If you read closely, the last line admits it's made up. But he seems to have purposely stuck that little fact on the end so people would skim over the post, make exactly the assumption some have, and he could thereby derail the thread.

And it worked like a charm in your case.

I am such a freshman member and I could be wrong about this but I don't think I have ever seen a thread that was up that members could read but could not post on.

All I can say (again) is "John Grisham" An attorney, who became a famous author, because he wrote about what he knew. Many will try to emulate that success.....

Very possible. But that's still no reason for some people to feel it's OK to take free shots at the OP. It doesn't make the T&C go away. You know how to disagree without trying to make it personal, others don't. Yet.

I suspect raven could not see the last ironman post because he got on ignore before she saw his post. That is why she says she can't she he posts on this thread.
