It is just another confirmation for the peak oil theory but this time from one of the major global oil players, Total Petroleum, and therefore worthwhile to pick it up:

So is it the truth, or do they think the gravy train that the speculators have created is about to end? They stand to make a lot of money if they can continue to drive prices higher. What is to stop them from trying to scare the public a little?

Peak Oil wouldn't surprise me, but I just don't believe a word that these guys say anymore.
