I don't feel strongly either way, if any of my fellow fighters have a preference I'm happy to defer to them or to you.

Sky's suggestion of starting a few days before 44ss returns sounds reasonable to me.

Spoken like a true Canuckian (even if you are in the wrong province...).

Since I'm not participating, and have no bias either way, and I am a professional mediator (self appointed of course) I think that it would be fair to give some leeway.. in terms of time.

Yeah, real life is a pain in the ass and it gets in the way of online life - but as (someone) has de-throned Ian - it would be a shame for the fighter not to prove he is worthy of the title due to RL constraints...

Accommodation is polite.... and in this case, I think, warranted.

I'd just like to thank everyone for their understanding.

Perhaps we can start the debates in a staggered manner every 4 days or so? (Since staggering is most appropriate for a pub
)

Another suggestion:

You ALL get started now but soulslayer has no time-restrictions for his next post. His next post can be minutes from now or weeks from now...

Ah, good stuff. May I also recommend:

Got a bottle of that for Christmas; excellent.

Sky's suggestion is good, but may I also recommend making all opening statements (both pro and con) in all third-round debates subject to the same rule (no time limit)? Or, we could just go with what MemoryShock has already decided and announced.

Yup that works too, I figure I could get the opening and perhaps a couple more off before heading off to Qatar.

I don't mind anything- its up to you guys/ MS/ chissler.

btw Ian- try a glass of Glenmorangie interspersed with a Trinidad Fundador cigar... 50 mins of pure heaven

Good morning orange - still on coffee right now, actually.

With Scotch, like life, it's the enjoying more than the actually drinking that's important. And for 'indulgent' treats, better the savor than the guzzle. A good cigar is an excellent addition. And though I very rarely indulge, I've kept a sweet humidor. Myself, I'm mainly an Opus X, Romeo y Julieta, Robusto, and Esplendido fan. Gonna have to give the Fundador a try, sometime.

One great thing about a 'virtual pub' is you never have to air out stale cigar smoke.

virtuale pubs are better than real pubs

in germany in all pubs smoking is forbiddden,
as a non smoker i don.t mind but i understand that it might reduce the pleasure of the smokers

i won.t dare to ask if i can mix whiskeys with something else
maybe i would get baned for such a question

by the moment my mind is more on icecream than on alcohol
spring is outside
temps are over 20°C
which is more than great

Wow, that's nice and warm. Balmy.

You can mix with whatever you want. But good whisky is best straight and clear, with a dollop of cool water to release the flavor.

Sip don't shoot. Save that for tequila.

yup pretty warm
you can be outside without a jacket

and for the firls among us: it is skirt weather

california is expecting similar weather

i am not a shotter - - always been a sibber

so whiskey would be better for me than tequilla
but noboday suspects it to be a girls drink

now another cup of tea

(could also be mixed with whiskey)
and i get the feeling that i won.t be banned yay

congrats tothe 1/4 million points - party is on you!

I, for one, want you and Sdog to have your Non-Duality debate you two keep sporadically talking about. I can't keep up with who challenged who about it last, but since Round 3 is not starting anytime soon, I say "How 'bout it boys?"

When Shock comes back and confirms a starting date for the next round I will see if there's enough time in between.

This is a debate that Sky and I have wanted to do for a long time and one that I am looking forward to, but it is not one I want to rush or "squeeze in" so to speak. Though the premise of it sounds simple enough, the practical application of communicating on such a topic within verbal limitations and parameters will make it extremely challenging. In many ways it is the attempt to speak of that which is beyond the reach of words.

It would actually be my preference to wait until after I'm kicked from the tournament.

OL, are you going to just sit by and let some man say we women have to be sugjugated by desires to shod our feet in order have happy and complete lives?! I think not! You march in there and give him that last piece of your mind! (Ummm that came out wrong .... )

And I'll pick the sweet-potatoes out of the stew for you while you are at it
