That could probably work-out.

And dont forget: There's Internet Access everywhere nowdays. I was recently on visit in Dubai and they even had an Internet-Portal in a Public Restroom...no joke.

Ok, so now we are getting into the physical aspects of this. This should be fun.

It might take me a while today. I think I totaled my car last night (after getting a flat in the storm yesterday afternoon) and am not feeling all that great this morning. Plus, I have to get with the insurance comapny to figure out what to do now.

If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Again, there's no rush. As I said in our Debate, Real-Life really is more important. Get that car fixed.

As much as the thought of crafting rebuttals in a public restroom appeals to me... I think I'll have to pass!

Unfortunately I'm in the lowest rank of a profession which is notorious for taking up your entire life... I'll be on 16 hour days probably, all in the Qatar heat!

Skeptic... don't tell your insurance company that you were in a pub just before you crashed the car

Never fear. I am pretty sure any disorientation I exhibited last night was more due to confusion, shock, and pain than the non-existent alcohol.

And, quite possibly, the car is totaled. I hope not because I just got the thing paid off, so I hope they can fix it without writing it off as a total loss.

Quatar...the place where you can fill up your car for $12. Oppressive heat though. No place to be crafting a debate.

Lets hope the Forum-Mods let you off the hook for a few days...I put money on you winning the Tournament.

My closing is up in the Sweetie Pie debate.

Now, I need a big drink.

Thanks for the vote of confidence mate, but that's one difficult feat! I'll certainly be going for it!

Qatar is an interesting country, I've been there once before. It's not the best assignment for me, considering I can't think straight in the heat!

Hey, alls you North Texans are good in my book.

Luckily for you, I was born in Germany, not Oklahoma. But, little puppydog, you should be careful who you say those words to. For any native Sooner, them's fightin' words!

And BTW that was the Sunday go-to-meetin' vehicle you was showin'. Wrong one. I think we can get to DC in this one:

But you refused to Debate S-Dog as sweet because you think that someone who creates emotional dependency by "always being there" is somehow sweet rather than a control-freak.

Like I could debate something so obvious.

I'd have an unfair advantage.

Both of my debates are done.

Now, I can panic about my wrecked car and figure out what the hell to do next.

Fun stuff.....

I hear that. I almost closed the debate with this sentence:

"I have an above-average IQ and I fail at everything".

With me, when it rains it pours.

Arghh...what a tough decision.

I am abhorrent to have a disqualification in the quarterfinals for the following reasons:

-It's the quarterfinals.

-An effort was made to make the situation known and a request for a working solution was made well ahead of time. This is exactly the type of concession for real life that semper and I are talking about, everytime someone just bails on a tournament.

-This is an online tournament that will effect the world in absolutely no way shape or form if it starts on the 6th or a week and a half later.

So my solution is one of the following:

Postpone one debate or all of them. I know this may not be a popular decision as I am anxious to get the tournament going (namely so I can feel comfortable challenging some folks...
) but I see no reason not to accomadate an earnest effort.
