There, I've it done and posted. I had to sacrifice a whole section describing a man going to shop for trousers, it was painful to do so but I had to recall a variant of 44's advice I once received from a teacher who said "when its too long murder your darlings."

Having posted it, and this announcement, brings my ATS points above 30,000. So to those who may feel satisfaction at 500,000 points I laugh in your general direction!*

Why did writing to a word limit in University cause me no end of grief trying to get enough words to come close to the limit, whilst when writing for these debates I find my self passing the character limit too soon?

I'm up to 8,500 characters already with lots more to say and all I've said so far is vital!

I shall have to edit, and parting with such sweet words is sorrow.

one of my best friends is suffereing the grief of university limit word writing and we got wonderful disputes about me debating and cutting and editing textes, and writing about 5 full debates in 4 months and she trying ot reach the limit of the 2nd essay

maybe because university is work and this is fun, hobby?

but we are all on the same boat!

congrats to the 30,000 points super

Surprisingly, I scored really highly on a mensa test I took in my early twenties.

It must have been a faulty reading

I test in the top 2 percent and it's been doing me more harm than good ever since I was 9 years old.

Mick, you got the correct side on this one and I sure wish it was kosher for me to help you out with some of my own experiences. I would have given up my tournament spot to have that side of that topic. Win it for all us high IQ socially inept and common sense lacking geeks, PLEASE!

Umm .. no pressure, though.

Hello Pub. The drama here in my personal life has lessened a couple of notches and I think I'm finally done with my snit over not getting to meet "the boys," so you are likely to start seeing more of me again.

PS Shameless thread plug: If you have any interest in paranormal weirdness, cryptozoology, or UFOs, check out my Big Theory Thread.

Edit to add: While you're at it, I have a new BTS thread about my ducklings which are being raised by a chicken - with pictures!

Hey, I am high IQ, socially introverted, and full of common sense.

I am going to tear him apart for all of us non-disabled folks.

Hey guys, just checking in.

I've been down in Tennessee for the last few days trying to get my job situation worked out. (maybe getting a new job) so I haven't been available to check in much.

I'll poke my head in again soon though.

Just letting you know I'm still alive.

I'm good man, how about you?

And yeah, we have to stick together. Everyone is out to get us. Jealous I guess.

In a challenge match, but I'll share a potato and a beer?
