Balls... just noticed that I was apparently over the limit for external lines?

I thought they only counted if they were in

external tags
.

Does repeating it within my post count as part of the external lines allowance?

As far as I'm aware, there's a couple of issues.

the first is not attributing (sourcing) someone else's work, and the second is not using the proper links to show where it was taken from.

It was just put in inverted comma's and italics with no source links wasn't it?

Both are against the T&C I think - and therefore against debate rules.

Nice try, but not good enough I suspect.

But it will be a judges ruling...

I am indeed - I'm even going out tonight to avoid red nose day on the TV (just google it - it's not as good as it sounds)

My profound apologies for not answering your socratic question - I will endeavour to remedy my oversight in my next post.

I hope last night wasn't the music to your ears you were dreading

budski summed it up well...all external sourcing must be within the ex tags as that is ATS guideline.

I assumed that the majority of the external soiurcing was placed in italics to differentiate between the article and the headline as there is a focus on headlines within the debate (which is why I didn't place them within ex tags).

Hope this helps...

Your welcome...I have been fielding 'raised eyebrows' in u2u form regarding the writing (which I used to do years ago)...

Edited because TWISI called me a feline...

I've no problem with allowing 44ss a slight 'cleanup pass' to use the 'ex' and 'headline' tags, if Semper/Mem are okay with that.

The music was mercifully short. All-in-all they sounded pretty good! Certainly better than 'red nose day' (what marketing genius came up with that idea?)

Don't fret the SQ's.

Glad you're feeling better.

I will say that The Myth Lives does seem like a sport and a gentleman, perhaps you should ask him what he thinks first, that may give your request some more heft. Good luck!
