There's just never enough space. I think the place where I had to cut off was far from ideal- getting one or two more points in to the opening instead of having to wait till after TWISIs first main post would have been nice.

But while we're on government, economics, and the limits thereof, I think I'll have an edge on rebuttal, so maybe those will provide a better frame for the stuff that has to wait. Only time can tell... which even sucks for people who always take a long time like myself.

Hello, everyone.
Dropping a salutation before the near future dropping of my hat into the esteemed ring of ATS debates. Having no prior debating experience I've bought a fresh pair of knickers in case of accident and am preparing to get schooled

Welcome Traveler

Don't worry, I think a lot of us had no prior experience in debating. Just read through some of the old ones and current debates and you'll pick it up. But watch out, it's really addictive

Thanks! I'm definitely putting an eye on the action. I'm actually looking forward to developing a new obsession

Uh-huh... but apparently you accomodated yourself seeing as you are some characters over 10k. The upshot? Now we know at least one of the mystery-powers given to Super Mods.

Maybe it's an operating system thing? When I copied Vag's post (using the "quote" button so that I'd get the bbcode tags as well) and pasted it into MSWord, I only get 9844 characters including spaces.

And please please please, Debate Mods/Gods, never give me another political topic. Politics are so boring I can't concentrate

Careful, or you'll get "Fairy Tales Mean Magic Was True", or "The Little Light In The Fridge Knows When I'm About To Open The Door".

The mods are that kind of snarky.

ADB's Next Topic:

"Electrical Currents Are In Actuality Trillions Of Microscopic Gnomes Wearing Spandex And Running At Inhuman Speeds."

She'll have the Pro Position...

I don't have to worry about their politics, do I?

edit: and "inhuman speeds" would be relative to size, right? for a microscopic gnome, a foot an hour might be the equivalent of thousands of miles per hour.

And is other exercise-wear acceptable, or must it be spandex? I think some of them favor looser-fitting sportswear.

Since a gnome is not human, 'inhuman speeds' is kind of redundant...

Debate Topic stipulates spandex...

Damn. That means I'll have to convince them all to join unions, then get the Spandex mafia to pay off the bosses to make Spandex a condition of employment … it all just takes me right back into my current topic

i am not in that paranormal stuff and never will be since it scares me
i can.t walk next to grave yards in the dark and even writing gives me strange feelings

but 2 days ago when riding my bike homeward bound i had to pass a grave yard, it was about 7pm, and dark and i got more than strange feelings, as if somebody was watching
passing that spot was less than 2 minutes but after that it took a while to be able to ride the bike as fast as before, i really felt a lack in energy
and i got the whole time the feeling to shout out "stay away"

very strange for me
