Yeah thanks to gemwolf (who happens to be that particular members friend), but it was uncalled for. I hadnt even replied to him on that thread, and he comes out of nowhere challenging my credibility and posting that...I actually didnt mind the guy til he did this as well.....

I thank god for the debate forum where we dont have crap like that frequenting the thread

We have banned pickled herring from DATS.

Since it was weaponized, we no longer feel safe with it around.

FCP Menu:

Humble Pie - to be eaten after defeat - a delicious combination of sour grapes and whipped cream on a smooth pastry base.

DOH!nuts - to be eaten after a monumental debate error - a fried donut, no sugar, no topping.

Re-fried beans - to be eaten when a fighter has no real case and resorts to posting the same info in different forms.

Fresh Fish - new fighters, coated in batter and deep fried.

Egg served on smiley face toast - to be eaten after a fighter inadvertantly agrees with opponents stance, or after a whupping made worse by the level of smack talk prior to a debate.

More specialties:

Crispy Waffles: A complementary treat, served when a Fighter changes their entire debate strategy during the second or third reply. Butter and syrup as desired.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich: The perfect snack for when you're working on those "appeal to emotion" arguments. Served with rhetorically spicy tomato soup on the side.

girls like to be treated as princesses so a donut here and there is not the whole stuff which keeps us satisfied

Some unusual activity last night around here...

What looked like a huge searchlight periodically lighting up one side of the bay where I live, coming from the general direction of Goonhilly for a period of about 1-2 seconds each time.

The whole sky lit up, in the same place 5 times in the space of an hour - sadly I failed to capture any of the images on my camera, and I didn't work out until too late that I should have just switched to movie mode and left it recording.

Definitely NOT lightning - the sky was clear apart from the odd cloud, and the event was very localised i.e. in the same spot every time.

Strange.

I'll speak to friends today to see if anyone else saw it.

Posted it up on a social networking site first off - will let you know if anyone responds

Mmmmmm! And by a marvellous coincidence that's what I'm having for tea tonight, liberally sprinkled with a marvellous little invention called "steak pepper" mmmmmm!

(btw does anyone else when they write "coincidence" pronounce it "coinkydinky" to themselves? I do, I know it comes from somewhere but I can't for the life of me recall where. Maybe the same teacher who always said "vacu-UM" so we'd remember how to spell it.)
