Alright, 2nd - but there wasn't much in it.

You got your judgement within a day or so.

I'm still waiting for mine.

Actually...the judgment for Anti/chissler was posted yesterday. I understand that doesn't make it any better but I can restate that I have tried to expedite the process as much as possible.

We should see a more efficient judging process for the second round considering the fact that the workload is dramatically less.

That still doesn't help me achieve closure with this round.

Mem - sorry.

BUT

I hope you can see my point - prep time is required, even if it is just a few reads of opponents posts.

I'm not getting that, and I think that is unfair.

cue decision to wuk

after all, it is a conspiracy site

I do see your point and I as well understand the need for a bit of prep time.

Which is why the brackets/round progression was posted a few days ago...
(ok...maybe it wasn't the impetus for the decision but the option has been available...
)

Still. Such a time difference for judgments in between rounds is not what we strive for and it is unfortunate that it has occurred.

Maybe we (and by which I mean you) can update that pretty bracket to reflect the recent judgements.

It is indeed unfortunate, and I am the unfortunate recipient.

Still doesn't solve the problem though - all this talking...

This talking doesn't necessitate that I haven't been working to rectify the situation...

Actually it's OpenOffice.

Dare I mention my still-pending, pre-tournament debate with NYK? Oops, I think I just did.

When PeaceJet starts to go on a rant (he's waiting, too), then we should all be scared.

Edit to mention: I think it was 1994, when I first realized that as a system-analyst, if you just draw a large diagram with lines, boxes, groupings, and labels in different colors on the office whiteboard every week or two, people will pretty much just leave you alone and assume you're totally doing your job. Doesn't matter what the diagram actually is.

Sunday night posting of topics PST...at this point I'll keep the launch time "generally speaking" just for my own sanity regarding my anticipation of scheduling concerns. Yes the last debate is judged...

And A Big Thank You To The Judges Who Worked OverTime To Get The Last Debates Judged On Short Notice...with of course mad props to the aggregate judging pool...all of you know who you are...

Actually I think that budski has a point; having to compete against the winner of the last rendered judgment on short notice is a little unfair to Maxmars. Everyone else knows who they will/might be debating in the next round, except him. Less time to do 'opposition research'.

And a big thanks to the judges, from me too, for taking on half of the judging workload of the entire tournament at once!
