That's exactly what it is. It even occurred to me in the midst of "that thread" that some of these people are real fighters. Now, I realize that most are in here... Pretty amazing. Pretty cool.

Saw your comments in the debate thread - I shall be asking EA for commission on that copy of Spore

Seriously - its such a cool game - only thing you need to be careful of is the DRM stuff. Make sure you keep all your receipts for buying it in the box and write down the serial codes and keep them somewhere safe.

EA makes pretty good games, i own some of them for nintendo

i haven.t told the son about your suggesting it in our debate

after we finished he came around and asked me to look up the prize at amazon
strange coincident

DRM stuff?

he wants it for his windows pc - so i will force him to keep everything

maybe one day i am allowed to try it on my own

Digital Rights Management to prevent copying. On Spore its very strict and limited.

Google "Spore + DRM" and you'll get more info

i need some suggestions girls (and guys)

i have a friend - not sure if she is a good friend
really not sure

dealing with her leaves me all the time roller coasting

when we meet most things are ok
she tells me that she loves me that she misses me (not a love affair just a female friend)
sometimes i try to call her but it is NEVER the right time
(i am aware that sometimes calling isn.t appropriate)

but it is usually 95% not the right time:
handymen are around, or up to come
visitiors
fights with the kids
etc etc etc

she will never call back after such an occassion

it just happened again

and i feel so lost and almost hurted
and don.t know what to do

once somebody told me not to have such high expectations
but is it a high expectation to stay in touch with a friend?

what shall i do?

Some women say "I love you" so they won't hurt the other's feelings. Even in a platonic way. I would let her call you. I might even say, "It seems I never call you at the right time. I am going to stop calling you because I hate to interrupt you and it seems I can't get the timing right. How about you call me when you have a few minutes"? Then don't call her again.

It's just an idea. It's what I would do, but I don't know the relationship.

I have a male friend that only calls me. I love him and will talk to him on the phone for hours, but I never initiate the call. It's the way we work. We've been friends for almost 20 years and we don't have an obligation to talk every week or month or even year, but when we talk, it's just like old times. But it took some uncomfortableness for us to get to this point.

It could be she means exactly what she says, or that she is just tolerating you. But if she really likes you and you invite her to call and then lay back, at least you'll know.

Just my thoughts. Disregard if not appropriate.

thanks for your advice

a couple of years she really acted the way she was talking to me
loving me
caring etc.

so i believed her

but 12 months or so ago she started to be busy busy busy
and i started to be confused about about it

we used to meet once a week but now she says she has no more time coz she has to deal with so many things in life
(so have i but we could sometimes meet in the afternoon since our kids are going on well with each other)

i don.t expect friends to call me every day or to meet them once a week - i respect if there is no time
i don.t have time all the time as well
but usually i get back to them

it is never a problem with other firends
other friends don.t tell me all the time that they love me but they act more like that!

i will write an email and offer her what you suggested and than i will wait what happens

i can.t deal with it this way anymore

Good morning Pub.

I spent over 3 hours with SPOOK yesterday going over evidence and learning things. We did get a couple of photo anomalies (not orbs) and some decent evp's, so perhaps there was something there at the museum after all.

I'm pretty upset because we received notification yesterday that the IRS is "holding" our 2008 tax refund because we didn't file in 04, 05 or 06. The thing is, by their own guidelines we didn't make enough money to owe any taxes, now that we're sort of back on our feet and filing, they're holding our refund because we were too poor to have to file for three years? And it's not like they don't know this; they can look at my W-2's for those years and see that that was our only income, so this is, as best I can figure, just an excuse to hold on to our money, which they are threatening to keep if I don't file for the missing years. Right. Like I have my W-2 from 5 years ago in my desk drawer.
Besides, if this is such an issue why didn't they address it last year when our refund was only a few hundred dollars? So much for "Change."

hey heike

can you deal with them via lawyer?

i don.t know how it usually works in the US but here they can.t hold refunds back!
usually you can.t be forced to do an annual wage tax recomputation - sometimes it is ok and sometimes it is better not to do so
you have to do taxes if you ar4e selfemployed

hope you find a solution - crossing my fingers for you

and congrats for winning your debate ;up:
