You called?

I have very exciting news to report! The Olympic trials for Women's Curling is on KNBCDT4 LIVE, right now!

I am crazy for curling and you never get you to see it in the US. The first time someone explained it to me I thought they were lying, but held their imagination in much higher-esteem than I had previously.

Then I did it and I loved it, but sadly there is nowhere near me to enjoy that beautfully absurd sport.

It is so awesome, if you have access to that channel turn it on. It's like some crazy make-believe concotion of a sport, but kind of elegant to watch and do -- well not so much the sweeping part, but that takes skill too.

I often wonder -- who came up with it and how and why? Kinda like Gin, except I don't like Gin.

edit: becuase I am more distracted than usual...

It's a Scottish thing. You'd have to have been there.

Edit to add: And if you were, you probably wouldn't remember.

Toothsome-ness (I realized last night I was too liberally bandying about Mem's personally-specific adj.), but after the boob debate I swore to never change my avy again.

Oh and I have tickets for a couple of the Draws at the Mens World Championships in April and may have tickets to the final when Canada makes it that far.

People pay to watch cars drive in circles....

People pay to watch big trucks with bigger tires drive over other smaller vehicles....

People pay to watch men in funny outfits chase various sized balls around some sort of field with or without some sort of stick.....

And, it surprises you that people would pay to watch people slide big rocks over ice??

Ah thanks bud, I just figured that it would simply blow over and the admin's would eventually come around. I just cant get behind the people that come on in little groups that try to sabotage the site with disrespect and slack jawed drug talk. I mean there is a huge difference between discussions and just yayayya.

As a fellow Canuckian, I have to admit that I've never been much a fan of curling. The most time I've ever spent watching it, was flipping from Showcase to Space.

Oh, and Canadians are generally better at mostly everything that involves ice, you know, due to the climate.

It was my pleasure to to debate the topic with you . The chance to get in some debate practice was good . The weather certainly hasn't been favourable for going outside . After I have taken care of some things on the home front I will take a more planned look at getting back into the debating ring . I hope the debate the tournament goes well for you . This time around far fewer members seem to have defaulted then last time .
