So, there was an interesting idea posted here last night: commenting on the Round 1 debates. But, since they're awaiting judging, that was decided to be potentially unfair.

However, my Round 1 debate didn't finish, so I'll offer it up:

By the way mem, sorry for not citing your brain implant thread in the debate- I definitely know that my topic was a balanced phrasing of a topic that ultimately aimed at mind control, but I figured that risked an implausible broadening of the topic, so I took an argument that applied on that level too but isn't specific to it.

Kind of but not really...I am a huge fan of the technical details of our reality and it was motivated more towards trying to get the dream topic rational exposure...as opposed to the new age theme it is usually relegated to...

It would have unnecessarily broadened the topic and would have probably hurt your position had you went ahead and cited it...so no worries at all...
