I see that time way too often. I think it's a conspiracy of some sorts.

I'm begging you PLEASE! - don't start a thread on that observation!

wait ... maybe we could forecast expected responses and start a pool, see who gets the closest score or something ...

meh ..., it's been done, I'm sure.

Okay, it's entirely possible that some or all of you don't share my interest in the paranormal, but hey .. you are on ATS. If you aren't, you have my blessings to skip this post.

As of today, I have officially become part of a Paranormal Investigation Team (yes, like TAPS only they also investigate UFOs, cryptids, whatever). As part of my orientation I did a 10 minute EVP session at a local cemetery. I was outdoors and there was no one anywhere around me; the group leader stayed in his truck. I have deliberately left the title of the EVP to just the numbers so that any of you who are interested can listen and interpret it for yourselves. Later, if anyone's interested, I'll tell you what I heard.

The first real investigation I will take part in is this Friday night at a very old museum.

Right on Heike; sounds interesting and fun! Keep us updated with the future investigations...

Frank: That particular phenomena, in my opinion, is easily explained if one focuses on the circadium rythem and subconscious memory...

I may be wrong but what I hear is: "Go away!"

Nice EVP Heike.

I guess I can hear "go away" but my first thought was "Valerie".

Cool

Well folks my closing statement is up so it is now all in the hands of the debate gods.

I was unsatisfied with the stall, so I went ahead and posted my next debate reply:

Make Money, Not Peace?

I don't know whether to label it as "second reply" or "closing statement", or what, all I know is I had some rant left in me.

Good morning orange. Yep, plumbing can be messy, but at least the drain part is much easier to deal with - not under pressure like the faucets and such. That reminds me of a house I rented once. When I moved in, there was a leak in the drain under the kitchen sink. It had been wrapped with miles of duct tape - layer upon layer. When I finally peeled it all off, it was simply a cracked pipe, the 'U' shaped thing that traps gunk and such. I went to the hardware store, spent a grand total of $1.50 or so on a replacement; 10 minutes with a wench and it was fixed. Things like that are so much easier if the job is simply done right, not difficult at all.

Good gracious! Entirely what kind of plumbing are we talking about here?

Well, my girlfriend at the time was appreciative of my handiness....

Aarrr: Let me add an 'R'. I've been on this boat too long; I'm starting to think up new pirate jokes.

gladly i don.t have to do the job on my own - i would be helpless and useless in it - i just talked to the landlord - a company which owns 2000 houses here - and they will order a plumber to care fo my drain.
the problem is that it might be last 2 or 3 days until the plumber gets in contact with me
and maybe another week until he gets the time to fix the stuff

anyway i don.t have to pay for it,
the landlord has to do that

handiness is always apreciated with a guy

my ex wasn.t that handy at all

Thanks for the interest in my new venture.

I was walking around asking questions like "Is everyone okay? Does anyone here need help? Are you happy here?" etc., and got that response. I hear "How are you?" which would make sense. I got some others, but they aren't as clear. "they worry over me, let us sleep
, you're crazy, not saying," and two that may fit together to form "stuff happens ... the railroad." Anyway, very interesting.
