Well...I have to say that was a draining debate...and I am glad for it to be over.

For the record, I would vote for a homosexual president today in a heart beat, especially after the Bush administration.

Intrepid...semper drained me...we'll see where the fight in me is in a few days...

And as a side note, does anyone else find it mildy amusing that a left coast liberal and a right coast conservative debated the sides they did. If I didn't know better, I'd say some one enjoyed assigning those positions.

After just over two weeks on ATS, I have somehow allowed myself to be cajoled into entering the debate forum. MemoryShock was involved, as I'm sure will be no surprise to those here. Various cordiality turned into egging on turned into a formal debate challenge, and I doubt either of us can definitively say who provoked who.

So I find myself, this fine morning, waking up in a Pub. Say, doesn't that sound a little backwards?

Requisite first-post props and respect: Thanks to all the fine fighters here; I've enjoyed and learned much from the prior member debates I've read.

Now, where can I get a bowl of that rabbit stew? It cures hangovers, doesn't it?

I think, Ian, that you are familiar with the traditional rules of battle (listed at the open of each debate). We have agreed to a random topic.

The only point of consideration is start date....do you have a preference?
